Pro-tip for rocks: When you have a shovel dig 2 holes next to each other 1 square away from a rock. Stand between the holes and rock then hit it. You won't slide back and can get all 9 items out of the rock.

6:13 you can actually get more than 8 branches per tree. You can get a total of 14. Just switch which side of the tree you're shaking from (after the initial 8) and you can get 6 more.

I'm kind of confused why everyone says it takes a while to get Blathers and the vault pole. I started the game at midnight and by 1am I had donated 5 bugs and/or fish to Tom Nook who gave me the Blathers tent. In animal crossing the day resets at 5am so this morning when I woke up Blathers was here and I got the vault pole :) :)

Easy way to catch the wasps: before hitting the tree with the axe, hold your net, stand below the tree, and shake it; if a wasp nest drops your character will turn to face the wasps, and you can then just press A to catch them. It's a good idea to shake every tree every day anyway, so you're not really losing any time. Also, if you have a hard time remembering which tree you have already hit, you might want to leave the wood in the ground until you are done hitting trees; this easily marks the trees you already went through, and the game seems to allow for an unlimited number of objects in the ground.

Adding to this something I learned. Each island (including Resource islands);only have 5 wasps a day. Wasps sell for 2500 each so they are basically a free 12.5k each day. Plant Cedar trees and shake those, if its not a nest, a branch, or a random furniture piece you'll get 100 bells

The generated island does matter. You can't move several things on the map: The secret beach (top left right or middle) the jetty (the green jut of land on the left or right) the dock, the landing area, and the mouths of the rivers. I'm not sure if you'll be able to move resident services either, probably not because it's so big.

I've been playing ACNH since launch with my daughter (age 7) and it's been a dream of mine of us playing AC together since she was born. She wasn't really into the game and was wandering aimlessly. Another tip! When you’re being chased by wasps and don’t have the time to get out your net, or just don’t feel like catching them and filling your inventory, you can just run into your house or museum ect. Even if you have something equipped and are going into any building, that short buffer of putting it away stops the wasps and makes them disperse! And when you leave the building they don’t come back they don’t continue to chase you or anything..... just a tip to ppl brand new to the game

Just started myself, not sure if this was posted yet but it may help you :) Some slight spoilers Dont need a shovel to plant flowers or Normal trees. I think you can chop down trees with a flimsy axe after you eat a native fruit. While I have not been given a shovel or the recipe yet you can buy one if you go on a mystery tour they will sell you tools for 100miles each including the shovel. When shaking the tree, be at a 45' to the front. When wasps come out, turn and catch it. Note, have your net ready when shaking the tree. Wasps are worth quite a bit.

Although it sucks I would rather have the physical copy in the long run, because with the digital version you don’t own a copy of the game, you own the rights to download the game. With the physical version you own that copy of the game, which is better because if in 10-20 years the switch eshop shuts down you no longer have the game. (Like with what happened to the wii shop channel)

rewatching this series when life was good. Quarantine had only just started and Covid (for me in Aus at least) felt unreal and minor. I was learning to accept that my mum would be stuck overseas for a longer time than her holiday had allowed. I didn’t have a switch and didn’t care too much for Animal Crossing. Then BAM! my instagram feed, my KZbin recommended, my TikTok FYP was all awash with AC:NH content and i found AJP for the first time. I tuned in every single day and was invested in this series. I pooled my resources and pre-ordered my switch because the world was sold out and bought the game! I kinda stopped watching after getting my own switch but something about hearing him say “welcome back to Animal Crossing!” is just so calming.

As long as you have space, no weeds/fallen fruit around a tree, you can actually have 14 branches fall out a tree, you just have to go about it at different angles. Trees have unlimited branches

Instead of leaving the critters in the inventory when the museum is built, you should just place/display them outside the museum as a reminder to donate those things when it's done. They'll just sit in their display cases until the museum reopens and you can pick them up again.

If you stand south of the tree and shake it, when the wasp nest drops you'll automatically face the right way(make sure you have a net out before shaking the tree) then as soon as it lets you move just swing the let. Bam, should get the wasp every time. If you shake the tree from anywhere but the south of it the wasp will likely get you first. Oh and also make sure there's space around the tree so the nest doesn't drop in a weird place.

Tip with the wasp! your villager looks directly at them pause equip your net and swing!

tip : giant clams and oyster clams are 450 bells worth so if you have alot consider selling them another tip : if you have a lot of weeds consider collecting them and keeping them until one day leif will come you can sell weeds to her for TWICE THE PRICE normally weeds are 10 bells worth but with leif they are 20 bells

Not sure if you've found this out or if it's the same in New Horizons, but in old versions of the game there's a time limit on getting items from the rocks. You can sometimes get 9 items if you dig 3 holes behind yourself which stop you moving backwards every time you hit the rock, so you can get 9 hits in the time limit. This is super annoying if you don't know which rock is the money/resource rock because you have to dig behind you every time, but is a great way of getting those extra resources!

The way we used to get 9 items from a rock was to dig a L shape of holes a space away from the rock, then you can't get pushed away too far. Now, if you get stung a 2nd time by wasps you faint and wake up in your tent (I think it was)

Yeah, its rare I used to get all 9 drops. 7 or 8 usually. We may get gemstones as well, there was the occasional time the rock would spit out gemstones like they do the coins

The gold nugget types? I have not yet seen the other gem type rocks yet. Sold the ones I have gotten to pay for a bridge lol. Hopefully our favourite Llamas will make a visit ( maybe an event free update) and teach is how to use them to make the gold furniture sets and to customise things with the gemrocks.

-If you wanna catch the wasps make sure you hold your net first. -Sell crafted item for more bells. For example, selling weed hat is better than selling bundles of weeds. -If you see a glowing spot on the ground, dig it. Then bury the bell you got because it will triple the amount after a few days. -Sometimes theres a shooting star. Hold A and you can get the fragment by tomorrow. -You can move a whole tree using a shovel. You can also check what kind of tree using this method. -If you destroyed a rock, it will take a few days for a new rock to spawn.

Sooo... it looks like some of you got early access to the new game. Maybe someone can help me with my question. On the 3DS there were different versions of the game with different items and events depending on your game's/3DS's region (so, for example with a Japanese 3DS and software, you'd be able to enjoy Japanese festivals, which you wouldn't be able to enjoy on for example an American or European version of the game). My question now: Is the Switch version one single internatinal game that is the same for everyone, no matter where he/she is, or are there differences again? If there are differences, would it be enough to go to the system settings of the console and set the language/region there to the one I prefer? I hope anyone knows this... and happy gaming to everyone!

Its looking like it may be one version, I have seen a fair few hours worth now and there were many Japanese clothing items already. Kimono and yukatas, I think I saw haouri and hakama too. There was also a kimono displayed on a traditional wooden stand (took a moment to see the shape, before it clicked in my head, it looked like a draped cloth screen) To be honest, since they are adding the events and holidays in via free updates, it makes sense to just stick all the holidays and items in, saves work and extra coding. Tho we may see Japan only items via the amibo-card system. Probably from Japanese magazines giving a free special item pack or so on. I mean, if they want folks to keep playing, just add in more and more events and holidays over time, right? That's what keeps me in stuff like Warcraft lol.

On shaking the trees for tree branches, you can shake from the left and right side of the tree and get even more branches. Once picked up, you can shake again for more. I did this 6 times in a row the other day
