what is pros and cons of wooden bat houses and plastic houses, im guessing bats love wood, is the wooden ones better than plastic?

I've tried several plastics and composites. They either get too hot, stay too cold or don't offer a good foot hold for the bats. If I could make plastic bat houses and feel good about them and the Bat Biologists loved them, we could certainly build them. But they never seem to work as well as good ole wood!

They are star drive coated and corrosion resistant fasteners made by GRK. They are self tapping, self drilling, self countersinking screws. We buy them in bulk 50,000 at a time. I believe you can get them at the big box stores, search for GRK Star Drive R4 and they should come up.
