Arthur's Horse whats funny is that I can just sense your emotions through that comment you’re definitely projecting here, trying to fight off the inner moral conflict you are having. It doesnt make you hard to shrug off animal abuse, it shows how set you are in your lifestyle that any conflict is causing a serious apathetic response.

WarmMilk idiot debate my research now! Two distinct types of herbivore digestive systems exist. * The horse, rabbit, gorilla and others have a single stomach and a gigantic cecum (huge blind pouch) which contains billions of bacteria and participates in digestion. * The cow, goat, camel and sheep, among others, have multiple, very complex stomachs, the first three of which contain billions of bacteria that help digest plant cellulose. Herbivores don’t have canine teeth, and they don't exactly chew. They rip grass and forages with their flat front teeth, and then their jaws move side to side as the molars grind the plant forages into a pulp. Herbivores browse and graze all day long, every day, in order to take in enough forage to subsist on. The human digestive tract bears NO resemblance to that of herbivores. In fact, it should be very obvious how very similar the human and carnivore digestive systems are. Here’s counting the ways... * Dogs and humans eat a meal, and then may not eat again for a few hours, or a day or two. (Herbivores graze all day long, nearly every waking moment looking for forage.) * They use an up and down chewing motion of the jaws * Length, digestive enzymes and function of the stomach are nearly identical in human and carnivore digestive systems. (No digestion occurs in the rabbit's stomach; in a cow, digestion does not occur until stomach number 4.) * Small intestine, appendix (cecum) and colon have identical functions in human and carnivore digestive systems, though there are a couple physical differences. * * Humans don't have a cecum, per se. Instead, the beginning of the large intestine is called the 'cecum.' It is nothing more than a segment of the colon. The appendixwhich has no known use, is attached to the large intestine at the junction of small and large intestines. * * Dogs have no appendix, but at the spot where the small intestine joins the large intestine, dogs have a small, S-shaped appendage named the cecum which serves the dog about like the human appendix does humans - its use is minor or undetermined. * Neither carnivores or humans have digestive systems that break down or utilize the cellulose in plant cell walls. (Herbivores use an army of bacteria and an extended transit time to break down cellulose to a usable form.) * Human and carnivore digestive systems are designed for and equipped to eat meat. Both humans and carnivores eat and break down animal proteins, lipids and vitamins directly from animal sources. (Herbivores by definition do not eat animals, but they still need 'animal protein,' and they obtain it from the many pounds of bacteria which they continually digest.) Human digestion does not break down plant materials efficiently. Unlike herbivores, we are not equipped to digest cellulose. Humans CAN extract and utilize other carbohydrates in plants (not cellulose), which is where humans and pure carnivores differ: Dogs cannot break down carbohydrates at all. But human saliva contains amylase, which can digest carbohydrates (but not cellulose, which is too complex for amylase). This is why humans are categorized was omnivores while also having a carnivore-like digestive system. www.raising-rabbits.com/carnivore-digestive-system.html In simpler terms, humans do not have the digestive system to eat plants. Nor do we consume plants like herbivores in nature( who eat grass, branches and flowers all day, ,tell me how you like eating those things). BTW the meat we eat must be grass fed organic and not factory farmed. NOW ONTO THE NUTRIENT ASPECT OF THINGS. You cant get these AT ALL from plants. B12, Retinol (A), Pyridox-al/amine (B6), D3, K2, DHA/EPA (Omega 3). Non-essential: Creatine, Carnosine, CLA, CoQ10, Carnitine, Taurine, and Heme-Iron. Calcium, Zinc, Iron, Phosphorus and magnesium are found in plants but absorption is significantly reduced by oxalates, phytic acid and tannins. Cholestrol(makes up most of your immune systems and cells) Saturated fats( literally what your made out of, as well as improving many bodily functions) and so on.. And plants contain anti nutrients which are extremely detrimental to health( and well, meat doesnt contain any anti nutrients) the list goes on. And vegans love to say that our digestive system is nothing like a carnivores. There right, were omnivores, animals like the pig have the same length of our digestive system and consume meat. The sloth and the panda, for example, both herbivorous, have digestive tracts that are only 3.3 and 4.5 times as long as the body length, respectively [2]. On the other hand, seals and dolphins, both carnivores, have digestive tracts that are up to 30 times as long as their body length - longer than that of ruminant herbivores such cattle and sheep. healthydietsandscience.blogspot.com/2016/06/this-study-was-published-in-american.html?m=1 healthydietsandscience.blogspot.com/2010/04/low-cholesterol-increases-suicide-risk.html?m=1 healthydietsandscience.blogspot.com/2011/02/low-cholesterol-levels-associated-with.html?m=1 healthydietsandscience.blogspot.com/2011/12/both-low-cholesterol-levels-and.html?m=1 www.google.com/amp/s/www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/03/29/long-term-vegetarian-diet-changes-human-dna-raising-risk-of-canc/amp/ www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/431794/ www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/9499332/ www.cholesterol-and-health.com/Cholesterol-Cell-Membrane.html www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/18469238/ www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/20573797/ www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/25477716/ www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/22826636/ www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5986484/ kzbin.info/www/bejne/kHTXaaGwm9WDgpI kzbin.info/www/bejne/g4audaiKhtVrhac academic.oup.com/jn/article/137/4/1119/4664672 www.forbes.com/sites/quora/2016/04/11/meet-the-parasites-that-might-cure-crohns-disease-ms-and-more/ www.sciencemag.org/news/2016/04/parasitic-worms-may-prevent-crohn-s-disease-altering-bacterial-balance www.news-medical.net/news/20110520/Osteoarthritis-directly-linked-to-low-fat-high-carb-food.aspx www.researchgate.net/publication/331735735_Stable_isotopes_reveal_patterns_of_diet_and_mobility_in_the_last_Neandertals_and_first_modern_humans_in_Europe www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2846864/ drjockers.com/avoid-lectins-diet/ www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21142420/ www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18508964/ Any study ever done on the association between cholesterol/ saturated fat and heart disease was done on people who already consumed an inflammation diet by carbohydrates. pepsin, trypsin, chymotrypsin and lipase. bilirubin and biliverdin in the human bile. @@Lucas43434 herbivores usually dont have canine teeth there are some herbivourous primates with canine teeth but they also consume some meat. Ed, First off, I am a huge fan of yours and agree with 1000% of what you say and thank you for the work that you do. You are saving lives, the planet and Animals all at the same time. I do have to admit that I am NOT Vegan! I have attempted it many times. My daughter is Vegan, my wife and other daughter are completely meat and dairy free but still eat fish. I have been a HUGE meat eater all of my 54 years on the earth, but want to make the change to make the 2nd half of my life (hopefully) much better for the planet and animals than the first half. I have given up beef, pork, chicken, dairy ,eggs… But not FISH…My home is 100% Vegan but my job and lifestyle leads me to many meals eaten outside the home. I seek out Vegan restaurants whenever I can, but when I am forced to eat at a Steakhouse or somewhere without Vegan options, I usually go with fish. I don’t know why I think that Fish are less of an animal than a cow or a chicken but it is just something I do.. How would you recommend me making this final step to being truly a Vegan?

Undercover investigators have been an integral part of the ARM and have been highly influential in food animal welfare laws (no I’m not a welfarist) which have had subsequent detrimental financial impacts on animal agriculture in implementing these legislated modifications on farms, product reduction etc, hitting these industries in the hip pocket where it hurts most. This is ostensibly the primary reason why these industries fight so vehemently to silence investigators and other activists who seek to expose these industries. This is going to be a great podcast!

I really have trouble communicating with people who do not seem affected by what's going on. Firstly, some refuse to watch because they "know" it. Then there are those who STILL contend that investigators edit and doctor their footage and that it is only a few bad people doing this behaviour in the farm setting (forget trying to get them to see that the farm setting at its best is still inherently unjust). And, those who actually seem to relish the brutality or pretend that they do in order to jab at activism... I watch and listen to folks like ed and james the diverse gang associated with 'striving with systems' in order to gain skills for communicating, and yet I still have my child told she is food shaming, and the progressive community still shut us down regardless of how we try to communicate. There are also, as I have mentioned before, those well versed in the philosophy field and rhetoric to whom I am unable to successfully present a point I'm at a loss.

I think the right wing parties around the world are like fascists. To animals, and left wing parties are like Stalinists. . Left-wing Minority people abuse the animals in the same time away . as their claim to be oppressed by majority groups. It’s quite easy to see how does racism works comparing other races of people to animals. and assuming that’s wrong to do so. If we just did treat the animals well. And justify . Their will be no problem with the saying “being treated like an animal” And contrary because of anthropocentric us hateful advantage to animals. Being treated like an animal is bad. I think you should treat the ones are utterly in your power . with more respect. than you expect others to give you how are notably in your power. Without veganism. we cannot stop bigotry. Speciesism/anthropocentrism is the root of all hatred

A lot of us have been there. When talking, don't talk to them with the intention of trying to convert them then and there. Many of us, including myself, it took many "touches" to finally put A and B together. I think when we go in thinking we want a result from someone, it's really discouraging that we don't achieve that result. It's better to plant the seed and have them realize it on their own. It took me many years to finally say this is my last meal of animal products.

Without you wonderful activists exposing the truth for us, nowhere near as many people would be embracing Veganism. I didn't need to see anything to go Veggie when I was 20. A simple lecture about animal slaughter at hotel school was plenty but it definitely did take the likes of Earthlings to help me see the truth of the egg and dairy industry to take the final step to ditch all animal products in my 40s. Veganism is religion in India... That is Jainism.. they follow veganism philosophy for thousandths of year... I am jain.. I travelled across many developed country... Biggest challenge is getting vegetarian food.. Usually its very costly or its not available... Why not you create ecosystem that can make sure vegan food is available everywhere at very low price.. I can teach more than 200 items to cook vegan food

oh took my mother out a few today ago to celebrate her 80th and found a lovely laid back yoga / organic cafe. I think i'm close to convincing her to go vegan since she praised the lovely earthy fresh taste of her meal and she said it was fulfilling. I was naughty and had pancakes, tehehe.

Hi Ed, I think a nicer podcast location would do you good, all the big podcasters have it nicer, it makes a difference imho to reach new people

General public would not be able to PROPERLY DECIPHER APPROPRIATE from INAPPROPRIATE livestock treatment.. One reason why "open camers/access" is a problem~

Because, not being brainwashed, most people would think anything causing pain, distress, wounds, or cries would be inappropriate. Your persistent trolling of this channel makes you look deranged.
@ievk80585 жыл бұрын
@@tamcon72 What's "deranged", is following an ideology that is SUPPOSED to alleviate "suffering", but instead causes human suffering.. AND, what's even more "deranged", is that when people get SICK on this diet... their fellow "compassionate, caring vegans", come after them like a hungry pack of WOLVES. (No offense to the wolves intended..~) THAT'S, "deranged".

ANOTHER REALLY GREAT PODCAST 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 I truly appreciate All those who have the strength to go undercover and face the horror of how brutal humans are to fellow Animals THANK YOU for shining a light 🔦 in the darkness‼️ sadly so many humans are ZOOSADISTS ZOOSADISM is pleasure, including sexual pleasure, derived from cruelty to Animals. 1 of a set of 3 behaviours that are a precursor to Psychopathic Behaviour en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zoosadism a deeper look drmarkgriffiths.wordpress.com/2012/04/23/cruel-proof-a-brief-overview-of-zoosadism/ violence towards animals thevegancommunicator.wordpress.com/2014/02/03/link-between-violence-to-animals-and-humans-a-deeper-look/ 👩🏻💻

What does undercover investigation mean? Thanks for all the efforts. 🌠

@Hein Dattel with regard to undercover investigation by Animal Right Activists, it refers to those who work to infiltrate farms, zoos, circuses, etc to film and record the ugly truth of what really happens to the MOTHERS AND BABIES Like this: 🎥 www.nationearth.com 🎥 www.landofhopeandglory.org 🎥 www.watchdominion.com.au 👩🏻💻
