LaughingblueSu I know all about codes and construction- I used to be a Forensic Architecture Technician. It was kind of like CSI for buildings, usually involving cases where moisture was penetrating into the building and causing mold & rot. Btw, OSB is actually quite strong pound for pound...Commercial codes are a whole other ballpark than residential codes, and are extremely important for public safety. We used to check buildings for compliance with fire codes mainly. We found some real firetraps along the way. We also checked things like stairway/steps code compliance, especially if we were involved on a trip & fall case. Trust me, crappy construction kills.
