Can you have the license in two countries then? For example, if i want to rent planes in Canada and Switzerland, can i have both ppl? Do i need to do everything twice

Should you do the PPL in a flight school where you are resident (e.g for me Switzerland) or would recommend checking schools abroad that are cheaper like in Spain? Is it then a hassle to have a PPL EASA license in a country where you are not resident when it comes to renewing, transferring, etc. in the future? I was thinking about Spain which is half the cost but then worried about the bureaucracy there in the future when it comes to manage my license. Any advice very welcome!
