Question - whether you drill out or sheer off the stock rivets, doesn’t a portion of the rivet then remain in the closed frame rails?

Yes it does And I've yet to see anybody that successfully got them out, lol. I'm actually going to do the mod where you put the water pipe over the drive shaft and see if I can get them to put in the new carrier bearing support. There's a new service memo on these apparently

I'm thinking about doing the entire driveshaft and bearing. I hear mixed reviews but this is not lasting long enough, lol

There is a new service bulletin out on it. Now they are supposed to change the driveshaft and add a carrier bearing brace.
