to be fair...it said its a farming guide not a first completion guide. But you can take some tips from the video if you still haven't cleared it. I was able to do my first clear after learning the moveset of RB with Vorporal Icefort (gunlance) pretty easily once I learned to take my time with him and just let the ice exhaust it and making sure I wall banged it twice in each area I could. Go solo and it is SIGNIFICANTLY easier.

@@Broly91571 if someone's stuck trying to farm a monster, it's really stupid to tell them to use equipment they can only get by farming a harder monster. Having the equipment he recommended renders the guide all but worthless for most people, as they'd either have already farmed the monster in this guide, or they'd be experienced enough to do it without a guide.

@@randommadman7348 well, you only farm monsters after first complete to get specific stuff. I get what you are saying but I would suggest hitting forums and definitely do not go in with randoms. I spite killed my first RB due to it would be the randoms from sos causing me to fail because once it reaches the last stage and locks you in most randoms joining in are just there for an easy ride and don't know shit about the fight and will cart 90% of the time. Why I said go in solo, make sure to wall bang it as much as possible and once you learn it's moveset it really isn't to hard at all you don't even need crazy gear, just blast blight protection and if you are really on the fence go for defense boost 7 as divine protection doesn't work against its blast damage. But I just recommend full damage on whatever your choice weapon is as it's super easy to stagger and it's HP is fairly low for a special monster. But I guess that's why it makes up for the low HP with fast movement and super hard hitting attacks.

A tip for you randoms use blast resistant lvl3 you'll be fine 90% ppl cart from blast

@George Jovanovich I think if you have the material, it will appear in the bottom of the list without the need of slaying brachy. (just make sure the item that you got from plunderblade/palico is not the generic item that shared with other monster, like Giant scale) I never beat brachy, and do this farm instead. The armor shows up in workshop, but the weapon didn't shows up. So i thought only the weapon that require you to beat the monster.

You can combine bombs with wall slam . Just put then near the head but just far enough that your claw wont blow them up . Que wall slam through the bombs . You lose double damage on a single bomb but the wallslam does more anyway

A few things: errm I guess I forgot that mantles existed for most of the video? If you're struggling to flinch, just pop on temporal or rocksteady haha, im an idiot Between sticky KO, sleep and head flinches alone you can get a lot of this fight done. If you're confident, you can obviously finish the hunt like normal rather than returning, maybe swap to a different weapon or something. I believe this covers all the materials you need - others come from regular brachy or completely different monsters. Let me know if I'm wrong, I may have missed a part If you're struggling with getting the second flinch shot, maybe sleep after the first to make things easier. Just generally feel free to move things around as needed I have a really weird habit of inflecting upwards at the end of most sentences. Now that you've read this, you'll wont be able to unhear it. Sorry about that

I've seen a lot of people have success with limiting the quest to 2 people. the palicos do a surprising chunk of damage and can't cart out. plus you can put up a shieldspire stooge to take some additional pressure off the players. Sticky-stooge has carried me through many a tough fight in Iceborn :D

Very late reply, but the real answer is bowguns are completely broken in a game primarily meant for melee combat. And the bowguns themselves are overtuned in respect of some ammo. HBGs in general are uber busted and are the best way to farm enemies.

What I found if u mainly care about the heartbreak it's more effective to flinch shot him>direct5sticky him which will almost always directly ko him after he gets up>sticky for again and then use 2nd flinch shot by then u should hav broken the head if not use sleep. Doing this I cut the time down to 2-2.20min (use the 2 paloco gadgets only once best time is after flinch shot while moving to his head)

just double checked and the whole beta set needs 10 shells, 4 warheads, 5 obliterators, 9 slime , 1 Tail and 1 Reactor. along with other regular mantles. the meta pieces for most weapons are chest and legs which are the brachy mantle and the reactor. Any idea of a good way to do the tail? sleep bombing with slicing ammo on a bowgun is all that comes to mind, but i have no idea if there is a HP threshold for Tail cut. most sets probably wont use the waist, so it may be that we do a team run with a sever weapon and make sure to carve before the team carts out.

I got like three reactors on my first hunt and two on my second. Then my luck dried out for a while, just to balance it, I guess. One night, I was hunting with randos and we failed five quests in a row (but I did get a reactor on the last one from plunderblade, which my cat used while I was waiting for people to answer to the sos flare). I have most Brachy weapons now, because I'm one of those weirdos that likes to play a variety of weapons instead of sticking with just one (but bow might be my most used weapon of all).

Sticky can be a nice idea, i did him with Gunlance, in the first part he's very easy, only in the last part where you even can't farcast away can be a little difficult as heat resistance won't help

Honestly this quest is really easy to farm with sticky amos, and the deco which allow you to extend dodges, I manage every time to get it in less than 15min and I'm not a pro at all! Give it a try and good luck!! (with a blade I would die 30times)

i know im a bit late but you should try out the Zorah magdaros HBG, its easy to use and an optimized set is really easy to build, if you want to use LBG Aquashot and generally safis LBGs are really good they just take time to upgrade, also Kulve Taroth suport is great if you manage to get it

@@FreshPwncakez It definitely does not work on all monsters in the GL (I hadn't even considered special assignments or optional quests in GL). My friend said, "some monsters aren't considered to have bones." I know that the Great Girros does not drop double shinies & Tzitzi yaku. I haven't been keeping track. Most of the ones you have to farm endlessly (for GL drops) all drop double shinies with geology. Most other monsters you can hunt them once or twice and then just convert tempered crownhorns into whatever pieces you need from them. listen here buddy we don't simply switch weapon choices, ranged weapons are so goddamn different from a GS or swaxe that using a BG for only one hunt would be impossible cause we got no idea how they work

there are no raging brachy (and furious rajang) investigations. there are only the "normal" optional quests to to.

See, he even says in the video there are just like 5 different brachy parts (tails are the same from normal brachy) and even the reactor is not thaaat rare as it used to be. (mh4u hell mama mia). Yes it is a pain to get one for every weapon but for me better than perfecting a safi-weapon.

Farm the guiding lands Crystal's, put steamworks 10× output, try not to drown in melding tickets, options, and voucher. I got 1000+ ancient potions while farming silver melding tickets

Just monkey around with rajang until he's ready to be wall slammed. You will always get shiny drops from the wall and the damage is focused on his head for breaks. Sticky works really well against rajang too. Just play safe and try to get as many KOs in as possible. Also, sleep usually equals a free wall slam.
