SIMPLE WAY TO GROW ROSE FROM CUTTINGS-GET 100% SURE RESULTS FAST N EASY..:)
DAIZZ'S TIP:-
The rose cutting should be 6 to 8 inches in length.Always use sharp clean pruners to take the cuttings. The planting site for growing roses from cuttings should be one where they will get good exposure from the morning sun, yet shielded from the hot afternoon sun. The soil in the planting site should be well tilled, loose soil with good drainage.
Dip the lower portion of the cutting into a rooting hormone powder. The next step when you grow roses from cuttings is to use a pencil or metal probe push down into the planting site soil to make a hole that is deep enough to plant the cutting up to about 50 percent of its overall length. Place the cutting that has been dipped into the rooting hormone into this hole. Lightly push the soil in around the cutting to finish the planting. Do the same thing for each cutting keeping them at least eight inches apart.
Watering of the planting site every other day may be required to keep the soil moist but do not create a standing water or muddy soils situation. Once the new roses have taken root well and have begun to grow, they may be moved to their permanent locations in your rose beds or gardens.

Thank you for showing step by step and the growth time from beginning to end. Over 43 years ago my parents moved from the home were I grew up. My Daddy took cuttings from a beautiful red rose bush at our old home and he planted it at the new home he and my Mom moved to. That rose bush is still beautiful with red roses. I am going to follow your tutorial and do cuttings for my brother and sister and all of our now grown children and give it to them for Christmas. My Daddy has passed away but I still have my Mom who is 90 years old. Hopefully everyone will have a rose bush that they can enjoy and pass cuttings to their children. I am going to frame a picture of my Mom and Daddy with a letter about the story of Daddy’s rose bush.

I’ve never had much luck propagating roses. I think I kill my cuttings with too much attention. My mother on the other hand just snips off a stem, sticks it straight into the ground in her garden bed, ignores it and hey presto it grows into a new plant. Hello, I am a want to be gardener without a green thumb. I am from Prince Edward Island, Canada ( zone 5b). I love my neighbours roses and asked for some of their pruning. Not knowing what to do, I put the ‘stems’ into a bucket of water with some plant food a couple of weeks ago until I could figure out what I could do , if anything. There are large seed pods at the top of the stems. So, four questions, please: 1. Have I already ruined the process by sticking the stems in water, the upper parts of the stems are not water logged ; 2. I have a large south facing window that gets a lot of light throughout the year but a real chill can come off it in the winter, would that bother growth given the roses grow here or should I move the roses farther from the window towards a warmer spot, i.e., how sensitive are they to cold; and 3. Can I grow the seeds from the pods, if yes, is there a KZbin video I can watch; and 4. Can I use sand off of the ocean beach? I found your video very easy to follow and that has encouraged me to give it a try, thank you :)
