Do you prefer a sliding or fixed float when fishing for trout?! 🤔
@kellypaskett63915 жыл бұрын
Addicted Fishing I’ve had a lot of success with both. On smaller bodies of water like a pond, fixed seem to work better, on larger bodies like the lakes and reservoirs, slip bobbers work better. Also, bobbers work better for me in the later months, like July to November. Early spring I have a lot more success with a Texas rig.

Thanks for the super simple tutorial! I came across this setup talking with a fellow fisherman and tried it today and absolutely love it. Only diff, was we used a sliding egg weight instead of the split shots. The reasoning is that it might be less prone to tangle as the weight can spin on the line. Super fun way to fish and will opens up a ton of possibilities with different bait! Awesome vid.

Always run a slip float. Just large enough to float the bait or lure. I agree with Jordan hard to beat the night crawler for trout... Another great tutorial ur awesome Jordan!

Have you ever wondered as to why an earthworm works so well on trout? There are no worms in lakes but there are leeches that trout like to eat. I'm assuming they think the worm is a leech.

Same rig for me but I do prefer the inline sinkers. I also like the floats that can be taken on and off without having to re-tie. If I get tired of float fishing I can switch to bottom fishing pretty easily. I'll fish anything but I prefer the power eggs because they stay on the hook and practically last forever.

I tend not to use a bobber unless i'm at a real snaggy spot. When i do use one i just grab the cheap red/white ones, nothing fancy with a good amount of weight so i can bomb it out a good distance. The key is trying to set the hook early so your not gut hooking a ton of fish and re-tying every five min.

How do you fish deep stocked lakes for trout? Would it make sense to use a corkie with a slider weight to sink it to the bottom? Only reason I say corkie is powerbaits don't always float the weight of the hook.

Somewhat new to bobber fishing. I’ve lost/missed quite a few fish lately due to ending up with way too much slack (partly bc my main line sinks) , which I have to reel in before setting the hook. I usually reel in for 1/2-1 second (just enough to get rid of most of the slack), then set the hook, but I keep missing them. What am a doing wrong. Do people use floating line when bobber fishing to reduce the slack.

whats the point of the third 12 lb line with the blood knot?
@escapetherace19433 жыл бұрын
his spool was using 10 lb mono, I assume he added a length of that 12 lb fluoro just to make the line more invisible for the fish. Normally it wouldn't matter at all but trout have better vision than other fish

@guyh.45534 жыл бұрын
Why are you making this so difficult? Especially for stocked trout. If you're fishing a slip bobber, do it like your Bobber Doggin video. You DON'T NEED that middle section. Better yet, just use monofilament or flourocarbon line. Or just use a clip on bobber. When the bite is on, trout aren't that selective
