*These are easy to use and highly visible **enjoyable.fishing** recommend they are extremely valuable for going from a dead drift set up to a float setup. They save time and you don't have to re-tie everything to add a float to your presentation.*

Hey Dan, great informative video. Could you use a small little pinch weight instead of the bobber stopper with the knot?
@bryanhayes97282 жыл бұрын
That will work for maybe 2-3 feet. This allows you to go however deep you want, because you can reel in your line into you reel with the bobber stop (8, 10 ft, 30 ft, etc) which you can not do with a weight. 👍🏼

In UK you can get silicone float stops to use instead of the sliding line knot & they are very discreet.
@Brian4244 ай бұрын
If you're going to fish with bobbers, slip bobbers are the only way to go. You can set them (how deep) and size them (how much weight of lure, bait, line, etc,) will they support for any depth of water and any reasonable amount of weight hanging from them. I'm in the process of training a couple rookie fishermen and bobber fishing is the method they're most comfortable with so far. I just sent them this video to watch before the next time we go out.

How do you slip the bobber to different depths for different parts of the river? I adjust mine at every hole. I do it differently by keeping that tube on the line
@beebob12793 жыл бұрын
sure beats trying to throw your bait with 15 feet of line to the bobber. Makes things a lot easier. I like the adjustment with the stopper too.

I honestly don’t know how these work. You did a great job at explaining and it’s totally understandable but maybe I need to take it out myself and try a couple cast to see it. I didn’t think it’d go back into the reel. Hmm idk. I have to try it out now.
@dominatefishing96414 жыл бұрын
yea try it... once you tighten the bobber stop it is small enough it goes right through the eyes of your rod... be sure to cut the extra string on your bobber stop or it will catch when you try to cast.

Is there a particular knot you like to use to tie jig when fishing the jig under a float?
@dominatefishing96415 жыл бұрын
most of the time I just use a fishermen's knot if im fishing live bait. if your fishing a lure that you want to stay horizontal, I would tie a loop knot.

Whenever I use a slip bobber the bobber stop knot soaks up water and comes undone after a dozen or so casts. I pull the thing as tight as I can but it doesn't make a difference. Any tips on why this might happen and how to remedy it?
@larryacklin965 Жыл бұрын
You can tie the two end strings of the know together if you have that issue. it makes it a bit harder to slide to adjust depth, but not impossible. Also wetting the string before tightening it also helps.

Super silly question. How do you know which color on a bobber should be facing down? I notice that the slip bobber has the black color facing down. On a fixed bobber does the red always face down? Also how do you know how much line to put below the knot? Is it just a guess? How do you know 3ft is good?
@harrisonwalker91965 жыл бұрын
I don’t know on the first question but it probably doesn’t matter to much. Second question about how much line you want to know the depth of the water and the depth that they are suspending in. That can be easy if you have a fish finder if not it can be a little more work if you don’t
@richpetrelli27835 жыл бұрын
Harrison Walker Thanks!
@dominatefishing96415 жыл бұрын
Because bobbers are all different colors the best way to tell is by the shape. until you get the hang of it look at the diagram on the package the bobber comes in. not a silly question.
