slip bobber rig - In this video Dan shows a quick and easy slip bobber rig. Slip bobber’s are a great way to catch crappie and walleye. A good slip bobber rig for crappie is a simple slip bobber, bead, and jig head. Slip bobbers for walleye are usually a hook or a jig head also. This video will show how to tie a slip bobber fast.
If you are thinking about going crappie fishing with a bobber but don’t know how to rig a slip bobber check out this crappie fishing tips video.

*These are easy to use and highly visible **enjoyable.fishing** recommend they are extremely valuable for going from a dead drift set up to a float setup. They save time and you don't have to re-tie everything to add a float to your presentation.*

Hey Dan, great informative video. Could you use a small little pinch weight instead of the bobber stopper with the knot?
@bryanhayes9728
@bryanhayes9728 Жыл бұрын
That will work for maybe 2-3 feet. This allows you to go however deep you want, because you can reel in your line into you reel with the bobber stop (8, 10 ft, 30 ft, etc) which you can not do with a weight. 👍🏼

most of the time I just use a fishermen's knot if im fishing live bait. if your fishing a lure that you want to stay horizontal, I would tie a loop knot.

I honestly don’t know how these work. You did a great job at explaining and it’s totally understandable but maybe I need to take it out myself and try a couple cast to see it. I didn’t think it’d go back into the reel. Hmm idk. I have to try it out now.
@dominatefishing9641
@dominatefishing9641 3 жыл бұрын
yea try it... once you tighten the bobber stop it is small enough it goes right through the eyes of your rod... be sure to cut the extra string on your bobber stop or it will catch when you try to cast.

Dan - I have much more experience with a fixed bobber. I say that to say I tried using a slip bobber while fishing n a little deeper water a few days ago after watching this video. Very simple set up, but the bobber stop was moving or slipping when I reeled the stop through the rod eyelet. I had to constantly reset the string bobber stop after reeling up each time. Had bobber stop tight as I could get it, but it would move when reeled through the eyelet. Do you have a suggestion as to to how to keep this from happening? Made it not practical to use as I was having to constantly adjust the bobber stop. Because of depth I was fishing I had to reel the bobber stop through the top couple of eyelets. Maybe a another type of bobber stop would help?
@dominatefishing9641
@dominatefishing9641 5 жыл бұрын
hey Wesley, That is a common problem… it unfortunately happens all the time. One thing you can do that helps is to be mindful when the bobber stop is getting close to the eyes of your rod.. then remove the flex in your rod by pointing the eyes right at the bobber so the line goes straight in. its usually just the first two eyes that move the bobber stop. that will help but it will still happen sometimes...
