AirDroid is amazing, I use almost nothing else to transfer stuff to my devices. Only if I also want to store a copy in the cloud it goes into Dropbox.

I use TeamViewer to transfer my files. The advantage: I just have to open the App, select the files I want from my computer right there on my phone, and it downloads via LAN or otherwise. No need to even touch the computer. I don't even need to go to my computer to establish a connection. The TeamViewer Computer Software takes care of that.

Hell yea Thank you !~!~ We got a Gpad 7.0 LTE and it would not auto show up on my old XP windows pc I didn't know about the storage on the pad. I did that but had to hit PTP to tranfer a video to my pc. Merci Bien from Cajun Country ~!~!

Hey TM i heard bump had an update or something you should try it out and tell us, i had no luck with it. Also i believe dropbox does use the LAN network you have at home and so it can be fast...you just have to "enable LAN sync" from preferences (maybe in Windows only?)

I use Software Data Cable. It gives you the IP and port and an FTP connection that requires nothing more than a web browser like some of those other solutions, but I just have the FTM always mounted on my PC as a network folder, so I open the app (would love a widget) and just open the folder and it's basically like it's been plugged in

Hey great video by the way, but I need help with something. I kind of just want to transfer my files using a usb connector. I have a Mac, so I installed Android File Transfer. I can't get AFT to recognize my device, though. I have tried both MTP and PTP. And when I plug my phone in (LG Spectrum 2, by the way) it seems to keep disconnecting from the computer and reconnecting. If you know any solutions, thanks. I have a Macbook Pro running Mountain Lion, and my LG Spectrum 2 is running Jellybean.

My ways are (If I'm not going to use usb cable) 1. Install an FTP server on android and mount your share to a folder on your computer (NetDrive for windows, or curlftpfs for linux) 2. Install a SSH Server on android (Dropbear SSH Server II) use access your file using scp, WinSCP is very good for windows. I prefer SSH because I'm using it for other purposes too.

Everything is working perfectly for me . . .except . . . when I attempt to open one of the Folders (in the NAME column), I get the error message: "Secure Connection Failed The connection to 10.13.6.72:8000 was interrupted while the page was loading." (The IP address is what WiFi File Explorer Pro assigned) And this is for all of the Folders. Any thoughts or theories. Maybe I am missing a "step"(?) Your help on this would be really appreciated. By the way, I am using Windows 10 with the Android 6.0.1.

Plugging in your Smartphone via USB may sound like 2007, but it's still the BEST and FASTEST method of transferring files... Wireless transferring is SLOW, especially when you depend on your ISPs connection speed...

Anyone with a Sammy phone should use Kies Air. It's the same as AirDroid but offers plenty more features since it is specifically designed for Sammy devices!

when that happens I change the file extension.. for example - ROM.zip -change to- ROM.jpg .. and then when I get it to the device I want I change it back to it's proper file extension.. works every time for me and gets around the stupid block on flagged file types

Yes, you do. All the wireless methods require wifi, otherwise, you can connect your computer to your internet router using a cable. Same thing

I am trying to provide video files of football plays to a wheelchair bound coach on the sideline. He will have either an iOS or Android device. Internet access will not be available. I can encode the video from my press box camera to files on a MacBook Pro or PC. I understand I will have to boost the wifi signal. It would be helpful to have the transfer happen automatically after each play. Can anyone make a recommendation for the software to use? Thank You

Google Drive works but sometimes fails. For example. I downloaded a custom ROM for my phone on my Nexus 7 and Drive synced it to my EVO. I wasn't able to download the file simply because it was a .zip file type.

Isn't there an alternative to Android File Transfer? It's such a crappy program but it's the only one I can find for usb (online transfers are slower for me).
