no kids at home but a husband. he helps me a lot but, leaving empty containers on cabinet or wherever instead of putting in trash. this really gets me.

When Im constantly having to pick up I have to remind myself that it’s ME that wants a clean, tidy home so I’m doing this for me.

😂 she hulk 😂- yes! The clutter on surfaces and dirty dishes are triggers for me for sure. You are so good at motivating - skillful- and empathetic yet keeping it real 💕

I feel the same way about the “being away from the house” person and the “I am at home person.”

I'm finding more and more I'm triggered knowing all of my cleaning to-do's once I walk in the door after work. I walked in the other day and I immediately felt overwhelmed and the mess wasn't even in my immediate space I stepped into, it was just knowing it was all upstairs and I freaked out towards my husband and felt awful.

Katy! I love your little microphone! (That you are using bc your other one broke.) It reminds me that we have to Adapt to and to Accept our negative circumstances. Now, please go make a video about it!! You are helping me so much- especially with changing my Mindset about my relationship with my stuff. Thank you, Katy!

Wow. Great information! Thank you for sharing this. I am a granny nanny for my son and daughter in laws children. 3 girls under 2. They are so messy. I work so hard to keep the house tidy, laundry done, and dishes clean. It is darn hard! I leave their home between 5 and 7 at night and when I'm back at 615 am the next day, it's a huge mess. I cant even tell you... I wanna cry! I hope I can get them on board with some of these ideas. The problem is that its not my house. It doesn't seem to bother them. I'm so happy to see this perspective that you shared. Very timely with how I have been feeling the last couple days. Thank you so much!❤

Well.....sounds like the parents aren't putting in any effort to keep the house up for YOU to have a pleasant working environment. But then again, why would they ? They know that granny nanny will clean up their mess the next day. Don't like the sound of that story ...maybe some boundaries are needed ?

I like the term “granny nanny”; this is the first time I have heard it. Your family is lucky to have you. I hope your little kiddos will pick up some of your good habits. I am concerned that you are stressing yourself out, though!

I never got triggered by mess once the place was clean it was when had to unexpectedly move into a home by family member ( uncle ) and he was a hoarder and flithy then turned into a hot mess 🥴😭😭😭 I redid the room and bathroom I had move into - new floors and paint job all I did but the rest of the house 🏡 trying to clean flith constantly by someone never even wiped a table or better yet floors 😭😭😭 thus triggered me so bad weird

I totally understand how that could be triggering!
