I remember in 2014 when I began my 3d journey. gsg was my favorite website in the internet. I had the site docked in all of my browsers and daily I'd check in to see what new thing I could learn. I understand that evolution is necessary but sincerely I miss the old gsg. I think the reduction in quantity of free accessible content from Greyscalegorilla has played a pivotal role in the decline of the userbase of c4d. You should take a leaf out of blender's book and make more tutorials. Not basic step by steps, but the more technical aspects of c4d and 3d in general. Gsg is now for studios not for the average learner. A healthy mix would be great

nice. a really nice addition would be a blur option. there is an osl shader for redshift, where you actually can blur the hdri. maybe it is possible to add in future.

About time!!! LOL! On that note Nick, did you use your 16" MBP or the new Studio? Love to hear from you, since you have not replied to the last tutorial you made stating in a comment that you had ordered a studio and as soon as you had set up you share your experience. Chad whare are your c4d file creator kit or is an app? Thanks for adding this feature! ❤

Hey, it's Nick. I used the new Mac Studio on this video. It's not as fast as my PC for sure, but it's super great for setting up scenes, doing smaller videos, and doing look dev. I may eventually do a longer video about it.

The hdri link tag is grayed out on my octanesky. It does nothing when I select an hdri from the plus library

if you don't see the thumbnails in "user HDRIs" then here is the solution: проблема в отсутствии последних двух папок. Просто идем по пути C:\Users\****\AppData\Roaming\MAXON\Maxon Cinema 4D 2024_*****\plugins\ и создаем две папки "greyscalegorilla\Thumbnails" наслаждаемся )
