I worked at GameStop for a year and made my way to assistant manager {ASL}, Then 1 month later the DM wanted me to be an SL2 manager but i turned it down. This was from 2022 - 2023. GameStop has not been the same for me since. Digital was taking over for years, Id say since 2020. The managers push the reps and ASLs too hard. a GameStop really needs a 3 person staff to operate smoothly and working single staff in a busy location doesn't allow much time to finish marketing, distro, RSBs, SFS and cleaning/organizing the store. Customers always took priority in my location though. It will be sad to see locations close but personally working under those conditions actually ruined the hobby for me. Bye Bye GameStop, It was fun.
