Shawn finally hooks up and it's a good one! On the jig rod, with the handle on the wrong side and not enough line on the reel. What an exciting and amazing fish catch. Couple other decent ones and I get one in a way I never had seen before on a Jack Trap.

Its about a quarter to 6 in the morning so i decide to get up do a dab and watch the latest ice fishing vid. I was going to crawl back into bed then i hear the faint sound of Breadfan playing and it got me all jacked up and i cannot go back to sleep. Awesome!

I cant get over the color of the lakers up there. We've caught some big ones out of southern Lake Michigan in early spring and they're near all white. They hardly look like the same fish.

We had a similar bunk setup in our old bobhouse, but we made it so the top bunks fold down instead of up. That way the cushions are a backrest during the day

Hi Joe. I'm watching your Ice Fishing Video where you're on East Grand Lake. I had a Nephew who Fished East Grand in the Summer time and he caught a Togue on a Sucker bait and it weighed 11 Ibs.Nice Togue. I seen the one Brandon caught!! That was a nice Togue!! Where does the name togue come from we call em lakers here never heard that before whatching your vids

Originally, so legend goes, "Togue" came from the American Indian name for the fish. It’s more common to call them that here than by it’s many other names. "Togue" is Mainer for Lake Trout, or the scientific species name of Salvelinus namaycush. In Vermont it is called the "Longe", and in California it is known as the “Mackinaw Trout”. In Lake Superior, it’s known as “Lean” “Siscowet”, or “Paperbelly”. It is also called "Grey Trout", "Salmon Trout", "Forktail", “Lake Char”, “Touladi” and "Laker".

Oh man. Nice fish guys. When are you gonna get some cusk nuggets fried up and broken open? 😉 my mom used to buy cusk when I was a teenager at the fish markets around Bath, ME. I remember her coating them with a thin clam fry powder and frying them on the stove. They were white, tender and flaky. Hoping to see the finished results one of these times Joe. You are always so jovial and fun to be around. I can see why everyone likes fishing with you. Keep up the great content. 🎣
