Eastern Koel as seen in the Hunter Valley NSW

Koels - A bird that breeds in Australia then returns to PNG. The black male and the spotted pale female are both presented. Koels are Cuculidae and on the east coast of Australia they parasitize nests of the wattle birds. Very shy and retiring more often heard than seen
