Welp...as some nerds have pointed out... This apparently ISN'T a fractal pattern. Sorry for anything misleading. Hahah I guess I was thinking of those toys called FRACTILES . My bad! Still a cool design, right?

The NOISE algorithm is a fractal. Anyone who has made shaders in ANY 3D program would know that. You are not wrong. I think they were expecting a Mandelbrot set or something like that. On another topic, don't you wish the Earth had a seethe rate and you could just turn it down whenever you want?

I would second this request. I do a lot of corporate green screen stuff and having a pile of these types of backgrounds to choose from would be awesome.

This sounds like a job for a bundled pack@@JohnKuehne_SF would make great scene transitions pack, and also other patterns of this can be used for animated fake computer screen graphics. Imagine a cloudy green/brown colors (less mosaic) like military scenes have computers in background with special maps or visuals, more triangular text to look like an alien ship screen etc. 3rd the request :)

I like this background! Super simple but looks good. One minor point. This is most definitely not a fractal by any means. Mosaic or Polygonal would be more accurate descriptors.

Sure! You could mask a BG with a 4color gradient and make a rainbow or something. Or any combo of colors.

Nice Is there a way to make the letters in the word like appear and bounce on one another and make up a word I have seen morph and bounce in AE but I wanna see in fusion so is it possible ?

Benoit Mandelbrot approves of this video. A template would be great. Even better if it could use the MIDI Extractor modifier!! Thanks.

You are doing awesome work @CaseyFaris. Give me a weekend and a playlist of Casey Faris, MrAlexTech, PatrickSterling & a few others and the free version of DaVinci Resolve, and you can become a content creator making videos that are professional level. Nice elegant background or scene transitions for #streamers. Will credit this video when we use this effect for a fun video we'll be releasing.

Not related to the topic: does anybody else have a problem with the sound reverberating while working on Davinchi? Thankfully goes to normal after rendering, but almost impossible to hear while editing the video.

Nice video showing mosaic blur, but I don't see how these are fractals. Hate to be a math nerd, but fractals are infinitely complex patterns that are self-similar across different scales. I'm not seeing that here. That being said, I will definitely use this for my videos. Thanks.
@CaseyFaris
@CaseyFaris Жыл бұрын
Yeah You're right... it's that style I guess. Maybe I'm calling it something else. The design reminds me of the little diamond shapes you play with to make designs... aren't those called fractals?

What the hell is going on with the compression in this video??? Look at the dark grey starting from 0:54, it's all blocky and weird even though it's supposed to be a single flat color. I've never seen anything like this in my life, what kind of export settings are you using man?

I dont get the same result.... but you know what.... I found out how to..... I found your video on 'Merging Nodes!' Who'd have thought??!! hahaha.. All good! Yo da man Casey!!
