Great idea on the velveeta and ground beef. We have been making what we call enchilada dip for 40+ years. We use 1 lb of ground beef cooked and drained, 1 lb velveeta cheese and 1 can of enchilada sauce. 👍🏼 It’s so good we usually double the recipe! I always enjoy your videos and your recipes! Thanks for sharing. By the way we met and married in Myrtle Beach 51 years ago. It’s a very special place for us.

I have always separated my grease in to empty spaghetti sauce jars, it's what my mom did and her mom did only she used an empty coffee can. The two of you are so cute when you are cooking together, and can I say that casserole sure looked yummy, thanks for sharing it with us.

I line a small bowl with aluminum foil, and set a small colander with small holes on top, to drain the grease, then let the grease harden. Wrap it up and throw it in the trash.😁....Necklace is beautiful, you are so blessed with such a sweet, thoughtful husband.😊

I have always drained my grease in a jar as far back as I can recall. I have one for bacon grease which I keep in frig, the other is ground beef juice, any leftover oil, that I don't put in frig, just toss when it's full. Can't wait to try casserole

The best way to get grease out of ground beef is to use a colander over a bowl! So much cleaner and quicker!

My brother is staying with me and I wanted to make a homemade comfort food style meal for him. Made this tonight and it was delicious! I added a can of black beans to the meat mixture. I used corn tortilla’s since my brother is gluten free lifestyle. Still tasted great! The cream cheese added that something extra. Adding this one to my recipe binder!

The best way to drain grease is to use the lid for your pan. Put your lid on and then tip the skillet and crack the lid slightly to let only the grease out and pour the grease into your container. Can drain every bit of your grease this way! May need to use a pot holder and must have strong wrists 😊
