HEY I HAVE AN EPIC GLITCH so what you do is go underground, make a big hole inside the soil (not actually on a cave layer(between 2 layers of cave)) and you place a few rails in it. then you fill up the hole with soil, add another rail pice so you can put on a rail engine (or C.O.L.E), add power and then drive the train. YOU WILL SEE ALL RESOURCES, WRECKS AND OTHER STUFF (please(please(please(please(please(please(please(please(please(please(please(please(please(please(please))))))))))))))) MAKE A VIDEO ABOUT IT you will (absolutely) LOVE IT! Great video Kuya! Definitely a useful upgrade to the previous mode, although the older method is still better when it comes to the speed of loading and unloading, so I’m going to mess around with both. On a side note, have you run a rail line all the way to the surface of the planet yet? Using this method it would be a great way to get Astronium to the surface to farm for Bytes!

I think that the other one is better bc the station is loading when the train isn't here but for this design you need to have the train at the loading or the auto miner ill stop and also the other design isn't that hard to do bc you explain really well how to make it

so uh. i began playing astroneer today, finally after 3 years of wanting to get it and play AND ITS FRIGGIN AMAZIN, in my first day i got a small shuttle, i already found a exo chip (like underground in a cave), got a decen't base and a huge and cool cave! overall 11/10 i love astroneer even more than i did before i played it!

so uh. day 5 "Science And Calidor Voyage(s) A lot today, first ive remade the center of my base, with Extra Large Curved Platforms i made a circle with printers, storage and more! I did 2 trips to Calidor, first to get wolframite and the second to get 3k bytes Worth of science objects. Oh and ive made a medium shuttle! The end of the day i completed a mission that gave me... a hydrazine powered thruster! Your timing kuya is great, honestly lol. And I got the armosphere thing, and a medium gas canister. Tommorow: trip to Vesania to get Titanium 🚀

After reloading the game, sometimes those storage sensors get moved of my trains " have seem a few floating in the air lol" . I use this method & it works really well. So hopefully next patch bug fix update from System Era, sorts this issue out. This train update has now allowed me to move my base to a new location with-in Atrox, for all my Automation needs.

so uh. day 2 "Interplanetary Travel" first interplanetary flight... to novus! its obvious because it has both iron and lithium, and not only that i got 2 more exo chips! sweet. ive ended the day with completing a mission that gave me a large solar and large wind turbine, holy jesus now im suited with power for the next few days. imma make this into a fun memory book on this video, every day of my progress will be here! Found out today that you can put a storage sensor on the engine, connected to the engine and it works perfectly fine. So you can have 5 cars and do this. Not sure if it works on the cars but trains move faster with an engine anyway right? And no, you dont need to fill the 2 slots on the engine for it to function.

the concept it's great but the extractor it's stuck(and consume energy) when the train travel. Simply add an intermediate storage between the extractor and the rail and another arm to load the train. Another tips is that this second arm can be activate/disactivate by the train arrive

I think I’ll like this version better than the stations. My trains keep glitching out for some reason and pull up one spot before the end of the station and when the storage sensor gets full, it just moves the trains one spot more (to the end of the loading line) and gets stuck there, waiting on the storage to get empty before it gets another signal.

It should still work with the engine, from what I can remember the only difference between an engine and a car (besides storage) is that the engine can be piloted

so uh. day 3 "The Grind-Up" not much today, because i tried to play Portal 1 for the first time, and it was cool... anyways i got an another exo chip! i have like 4 now, i made a soil centrifuge and i was able to expand my base a lot, due to it being able to make so much resin and compound! oh and also, I've ended the day with 3 or more research objects waiting to be researched so.. i guess there will be more bytes tommorow? i dunno. also I've heard that comments do something to the KZbin algorithm so i guess this helps with it?

@@KuyaGameAstroneer i think calidor is really good foe this kind of this You have astronium, tungsten, copper for the more rare resources and compared to iron wolfram has a scrappable printable t1 in the form of the floodlight, copper is worklight and calidor's astronium height underground is decent to navigate compared to say the moons (have an astronium road on novus along with a hydrazine plant and lithium mining, driving a rover underground there is messy

If would require a little more automation, but it can be done. Are you looking for a cart that goes from let's say right to left and gets for example 3 different resources on its way? 🚂

@@KuyaGameAstroneer Exactly! It could even be a loop with trains continuously passing by a few material deposits, picking up what is available and dropping it off at your base station. Two auto arms at each extractor that place the items on the moving train might just be fast enough

@@DeconvertedMan sorry about that 😥 yeah, I heard this happening to other people as well, especially when they play with soil a lot.... It's always recommended to have back up copies of the save files, but sometimes they are so big it takes ages to load anyway

@@KuyaGameAstroneer Its just to large to load and stalls out forever. Locking the computer up and requirng a ctrl alt del to stop the program or a full reset of the computer. BIG save file. Ah well. Starting over isn't that bad. Hey were you going to do the "no power other then shelter" challenge? :D

@@KuyaGameAstroneer So basically how you do it is you place a cole on a station then use a launch pad to spawn another and the original cole will still be there, so on so forth infinite coles.

I really don't want to say "I told you" but yeah. This update is already out the door. It had a spike for like four days and then everyone just moved on. I called it. This is all style but absolutely no substance. Typical SES. It's a shame that a game like Astroneer gets ruined by a developer that is so fucking out of touch. I love the game but SES can burn to the ground at this point for all I care.
