Wow! Where do I even begin?? The recipes worked out to a fine art or the crisp, clear and concise instructions coupled with sensible helpful tips or how each video is masterfully culled to three minutes precisely, matched with flawless filming, lovely soothing music which is just enough to add a nice background but not too loud to be jarring or your gorgeous accent which just makes me think of delicious family dinners gathered around a table groaning with food. I have now tried a few of your recipes and each one has turned out perfectly. Your dauphinoise potatoes are a creamy bubbling melting heaven of cheese and honestly I could happily devour the entire dish by myself. Look forward to trying more of your recipes!! You're absolutely brilliant!

Made this tonight but didn't have meat but had chuck pot roast- cut that thinly sliced. I did coat it with flour, salt, pepper. Just simply dredged the meat in flour then put in butter & oil in pan, didn't have heavy cream but I used 1/2 & 1/2 instead. This was an amazing recipe. The family went crazy. I literally cooked for exactly 1 min & it was still little red but oh soooo good. The flour really changed this up for the better. Great recipe. Thank you for sharing. Keeping this one.

I did this recipe and it’s just so simple, easy, and delicious! To me it’s important to have a good quality meat and cast iron pan to sear the meat. Oh the smell when you’re cooking the onions and the meat is sooo good. I added garlic to the onions and porta bella mushrooms. Quick, easy, delicious. Thank you!!!

I'm from another country, but your cooking is the best. I'm desperate to be healthy, but I think eating is important. Both of my parents had dementia, so I quit my job and took care of them. Last year, they both passed away after 3 months. It was stressful. My parents passed away, and my body and my heart ached a lot. I got a brain aneurysm on my head and two brain aneurysms. I even had hypothyroidism, so I suddenly gained 15kg. I have to diet. Anxiety disorder Panic disorder I still suffer from insomnia. It's been a year since my parents died, but I'm still in treatment, but it hasn't been long since I started again. I started KZbin, took a walk, and traveled because I had the courage to share and communicate. Now I want to be healthy. I hope everyone watching this video is healthy. Take care of your health first.

I just made this tonight. It was just a little bit watery, so I used a bit of cornstarch to thicken it. Truly delicious. My family loved it. Didn't know I could make beef stroganoff. Definitely a keeper. Thank you for sharing your recipe. 😊
@H0n3yMonstah2 жыл бұрын
Are you from the states? It might have been watery because your heavy cream isn't as dense as our double cream here in the UK. I would just use less heavy cream and more sour cream or crème fraiche next time to get the consistency you want.

I neverrrrr thought I liked beef stroganoff, two days ago I had it from a hot cafe in a hospital and I had it over bow tie pasta noodles everything was so creamy and smooth very buttery very cheesy tasting I think that was from the cream, I asked for all mushrooms and no meatballs tho. This recipe looks soooo yummy I love mushrooms I love steak ! Onions cream all of this lol gonna try definitely

good instructions… BUT Kitchen rule Nr. 1: Always start with the Onions UNLESS you cook mushrooms! ;) always start with mushrooms. They have way more moisture in it then Onions, if you dont get rid of that before u put onions, it will have much weaker taste.
@christierella2 ай бұрын
I thought the same thing. Maybe cooking the beef first, so the mushrooms absorb the beef flavor. Then, adding the onions. Cheers

I made this last night. I made sure to brown the beef and use the pan fond to build flavor - I deglazed with 3 Tbl of brandy. However, in the end it was still bland and watery even after I allowed it to simmer at the end. I had to add more salt and a cornstarch slurry to thicken. It needs a little garlic, maybe a small clove minced and added in the beginnig with the onions and mushrooms. Next time I will just use double the sour cream and skip the heavy cream all together and I'll add more salt. Other than that, it was good.

I had the courage to try your recipe last night after my husband took me to HEB to grab the ingredients. When I was grabbing sirloin steak, however, he told me that if we were spending that much on the meat, he'd rather just grill himself an actual steak. I agreed to use ground beef. As I grilled the mushrooms and onions he was beginning to say "it looks good". When I added the ground beef, after adding the ingredients, he told me that it looked like Hamburger Helper lol. Therefore, he wasnt too crazy about eating it. He took a bite and said "it's okay". A little bit later he said with confidence "we can do this again". Therefore, he was quite satisfied with the recipe, so I could only imagine how it wouldve tasted with true steak. He gave me a hand shake for misjudging it. I notified him that we still had noodles, cream, meat, mushrooms, onions, etc to make another batch. I used heavy cream since we both hate sour cream, but it clearly did the job. We have a history of making some nasty fideo dish with Ramen noodles & tomato sauce, which is so dull and bland, so I'm happy to have your recipe put into my books. Thanks for the advice!! Good job!!

good morning Beef Stroganoff or Beef Stroganoff is a Russian dish made of sauteed pieces of meat served with Smitana sauce. I recommend putting tomato in it somehow, either half a can of peeled tomato in juice or some paste. It gives it a great acidic taste that cuts through the cream, especially if you haven't got sour. Also, if you want to really ramp the taste up for a special occasion, you have to basically cook it for as long as possible, on a very low heat. The exact same recipe also works great with chicken, though it won't go as well with the mushrooms so I usually sack those off in that case.
