I have just gotten a new sewing machine with the intent to begin quilting. Many of even the most user-friendly books, are still intimidating. Your explanation of how to do a jelly roll quilt makes me want to start one tomorrow. Thank you so much. You've helped me to overcome that beginner's fear. Thanks.

G-Dez- Worked on my first Quilt using the Jellyroll. The front side was looking good. Turned it over and realized I didn't pay attention to the back side. Surprise, surprise. I had five rolls that was bunch up. So, instead of ripping it apart, I decide to hang on the wall on that side to remind myself "what not to do and pay attention to both sides". Thank you Melanie, I've been watch your videos over and over and is so excited about how easy you explain things.

I love your tutorial and the fabric. After making a couple of these quilt tops, I found finding the middle of each strip and pinning them at the mid point then sewing made for less wastage. I decided to cut the finished work in half and made simple wall hangings for gifts.

I am going to go to your websites - and watch those as a side bar to this video. D

Love it, I just started quilting and didn't know a thing about it. It has been a hard learning curve but slowly I'm getting it. I just finished a Queen for my grandson with the Mega Star from Leah Day. Imagine a 65x65 square block. I ended up with a quilt 85x85 and it's waiting in the sewing room like a snake waiting to strike. I am now about to bind that puppy,. It's the most frustrating thing I've ever done. I used to do ceramics but a back injury stopped me from loading and unloading the kiln so I went to something else. Anyway, i'm anxious to do this jelly roll quilt as a baby quilt for a friends' new baby. Go quilters

Hi from New Zealand. First quilt, first jelly roll, second seam, first unpick! Note to self - No matter how excited you are or how easy that first seam went, double check that the right sides of your quilt pieces are together! Cause unpicking ain't fun. Still laughing.
