1-inch 18 Gauge Brad Nails
Note: If you don't own a brad nailer, you can also use regular 1" nails. In fact, I built this same table in the past with just regular nails and a hammer.

Titebond II Premium Wood Glue
Note: If you plan on using this table outside with no protection from the elements, consider using Titebond III. Our table is covered by the overhang of our entry way, so Titebond II was sufficient.

Sandpaper - 60 or 80 grit
Note Depending on the condition of your fence pickets, you can either use 60, 80 or 100 grit sandpaper. I alternated between 60 and 80 as my fence pickets were pretty rough.

an orbital sander would save your hands and time.

I agree, a sander would have definitely sped things up a bit, although I would have probably opted for my little mouse sander since it's lighter and fits better into my (smaller) hand. I usually only pull out my orbital sander for larger projects that require multiple passes of varying grits. Thanks again for your feedback though- I appreciate it!

What size fence pickets di you use 6 inch or 4 inch?
