I have applied countless mohs on cars in a region with high humidity and 28-32degrees ambient temp. Can share tht if you leave Mohs on without wiping or leveling for more than 5-10minutes, you can either dab/drench the high point and try wiping it away. Above 15mins its most likely mechanical intervention or apply a small bit of compoung on a sponge n try to remove the high point if its on a small area. Hope this helps the community here. Waiting for my Model Y. Been binging your videos for few weeks now :D Can you do a short video on which anchor points you recommend for the new Teslas without the ultra sonic sensors? Will be ordering a kit soon once the VIN is assigned. Also do you guys plan on making full body kits for front and rear doors? Would be great to have an option so that I get uniform protection instead of uneven wear after a few years.

Mohs new ceramic coatings allows you to go in any direction, cross pattern doesn’t matter according to Gyeon. Mohs actually beads when it’s ready to wipe off. Pure and Mohs are close in comparison. Mohs is slicker and Pure might be better on darker cars but no slickness.

@tesbros have you coated the entire sections of panels with PPF? Gyeon Pure Evo is entirely incompatible with your PPF. I had issues with the coating smearing and not wiping clean on your PPF. I would imagine it’s the same with any non-PPF specific coating because I didn’t have any issues on bare paint.

I personally haven't applied Pure Evo to PPF before, so I can't speak to that. I'm sorry you had those issues though as I know what a pain that can be. This one in the video is MOHS Evo and I've never had problems with it being applied to PPF.

If its been a few days to a week since I finished the ppf install (I did the whole car, so some panels are fresher that others) and the car hasn't been driven yet, what's the best cleaning approach? Just wipe it down with a clean microfiber or should I add some tack or anything like that? I'm assuming your waterless car wash isn't a good move since it has wax in it..?

I would wash it with a degreaser like our prep wash and then dry completely and you should be good to apply mohs evo. You shouldn’t need to clay bar or anything since the ppf is fresh. Here’s our prep wash (degreaser) - tesbros.com/products/prep-wash

Yes you can. We have experience with their ppf one but found better success for diy-ers with the mohs. For wheels, use rim. You can find it in our store :)

Quick question, when you apply two layers of mohs how long until you apply the second layer after the first one ?

Once I finish the car, I go back to the panel I started with and do the second coat in the same order and that’s typically enough time in between. So about 45 min to an hour

Not sure if it was mentioned but for a model Y which size bottle did you go with? Im sure 30 ml would be sufficient but can you squeeze a second coat on the car with 30 ml or would you simply just go with the 50 ml

We’re using 50ml in this video. I would get that one if you’re doing two coats. Just to be safe. Then if you have some left over, you can put it on the rims too if you want

Does the MOHS have a darkening effect on the paint and increases the gloss at all?

It does make it glossier and it makes the color pop a bit more. It doesn’t darken

@@BMan100 to be honest, we’ve never used the synchro or skin. And we never recommend anything we haven’t used. Both mohs and ppf evo can be applied multiple coats. For skin and synchro, I’d check the manufacturing recommendations. Gyeon usually has good guidelines on how it should be used.

I knew something was off when they didn't even trim things correctly that wee in plain view... but I will definitely give this MOHS a try, and due layer it, also would this be safe on Trim and wheels too? ... Challengers are BIG cars so I think I'll need to get the 100ML bottle..
