We usually have a pretty standard British christmas meal but by far one of the best memories i have of growing up was the year we went a little different...

Marion, I had a catering business for 23 years in Dallas, while I made food for so many receptions and Christmas dinners they are now forgotten nightmares. After the season ended around December 17, I shunned all food a smells of food and escaped to a beach destination. Maybe I’ll revisit Christmas again after this video.

Love that you switch up flavors and offerings every year instead of same thing year after year. So refreshing. 🥰. Happy holidays to you and your loved ones.

Nothing super extravagant happening at our Christmas dinner, but it sticks to our families tradition. My mom always makes the classic Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, Brussels sprouts, and sometimes Perogies. If we go to my sisters house, she always makes the most delicious brown sugar and pineapple glazed ham. I can never get enough of that 🤤🤤

I'm sorry I don't have a Christmas menu anymore. My mom passed April 2020 and that was it for me concerning the holidays. Every holiday was for her I was taking care of her and just like that she was gone, and I couldn't be by her side because of covid. I used to make a honey mustard brown sugar glazed ham, baked macaroni and cheese, a mix of mustard and collared greens with smoked turkey wings, potato salad, and honey cornbread. Anyway enjoy your holiday.

A couple years back, my family was tired of the usual ham/turkey dinner, so we decided on grilled ribeyes, baked potatoes, rolls and a huge salad with all sorts of sweet treats. It was a lovely meal and we fed 17 people. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year.

My son and his fiance are hosting Christmas this year🥰 I'm guiding them on timing of cooking/baking of the menu items. Ham, turkey, roast green beans, sweet potato casserole, dressing and all sorts of pies and cookies! Mulled wine as well. I would love to share recipes, though I learned at the knees of my Grandmothers and my Mom. All my recipes are in my memory. 😁 Have a blessed Merry Christmas ❤❤

Hi, Marion & Mama Noi & everyone else, too!!! 🎄🎄🎄. I am watching you from Fairhope, Alabama in the US. I was happy to finally see Dax & other members of your staff!!! My husband and I created the entire Thanksgiving meal from Gourmet November 1989 (with the pumpkin loaf roll on the front cover) and that was my very favorite meal we ever made. We loved to cook together. He died 20 years ago so I we have not done that meal in ages. I always make homemade cranberry sauce with apple cider & Apple Jack Brandy every year … lots of cinammon too!!! When I was about 50-ish years younger, before I met my husband, I was married at a very young age to a very young man (we were foolish) and my father-in-law (originally a physics professor) owned a fabulous restaurant in College Station, Texas. One of our famous salads used Nouc-Man Sauce and had lettuce, avocado, green onions, toasted & ground sesame seeds - in a mortar & pestle - done tableside - and was incredibly delicious. I spelled Nouc-Man wrong, I am sure. When it was ordered, it was prepared with all the ingredients separate and then wheeled out to your table & mixed by a waiter for your table. The restaurant & my father-in-law from that time in my life is now gone but I still make the salad. Thank you & your family & staff for a wonderful seasonal show!!!! Love ya!!! ♥️🎄💚♥️🎄💚♥️🎄💚

I look forward to our Christmas menu every year!! Everything we make are passed down family recipes we’ve had for generations. 12 hour smoked turkey, grandmas famous stuffing (with bacon, sausage, apple and so much more goodness), cheeses cauliflower puff (to die for), twice baked loaded potatoes, charred Parmesan corn, and green beans (with onions, mushrooms, garlic, loads of butter and breadcrumbs), and my brothers marinated ham!! And of course all of the deserts. Christmas can’t come soon enough!! Merry Christmas from mine to yours 😊

Hi Marion, great content as always. The MFC was a hit with mum! Regarding Christmas Day...we always keep it local & as simple as possible. Breakfast is champagne, strawberries & endeavour prawns with dads homemade thousand island sauce. Lunch is a tablelands ham (glaze always up for debate), roast chicken or turkey & associated Aussie condiments, a potato salad with bacon & egg, and a cold green salad of beans & pumpkin. Dessert is grans trifle. With extra custard. And more fruit (mango, blueberries, dragonfruit, lychees) Rum balls are on hand for all December & into January. Dinner is a nap followed by conversation, more aperol spritz, g&t's, beer off ice in the esky & amaretto. If it doesn't rain it will be 35 degrees Celsius...Christmas in the tropics huh. Have a safe & happy Christmas new year! Cheers from Cairns

little tip for anyone making Apple pies and Stuffing, Put the Apple Skins in your Stuffing. Makes it sweet and Tarty. Seems like a better option than just Discarding the Apple skins. Happy Holidays. Cheers!

There are 2 very memorable menus I've had for Christmases in the past. One year, my family and I decided to have homemade Vietnamese spring rolls which was a great way for us to chat and celebrate with music while we made the rolls at the table. We made a spread of vegetables, meats such as barbecue pork and shrimp, and a variety of sauces like peanut sauce and nuoc cham. Having that hands-on experience with family and friends was a time I will never forget. Another memorable Christmas menu was when I travelled to Portugal in December one year, and it was one of the first times I had celebrated Christmas when it was snowing! Being from an Asian-Australian household, it was a much different cultural experience to experience a European Christmas, and the menu was absolutely amazing; roasted meats, seafood, and we ate our weight in the amazing Portugese tarts. Experiencing a European Christmas was extremely different to what we had enjoyed during Christmas here in Australia, and completely unforgettable.

My favorite Christmas menu memory is from my paternal grandmother. She made the most delicious Christmastime glazed ham-- a pineapple and warm spices glaze with slices of sticky baked pineapple. I think it was baked because it had a beautiful golden crusty exterior and a sweet and juicy interior. She also made and served spiced apple rings. I remember being so impressed with how she got the inside of the apple to be red along with the red skin. I loved the intense aromatic and sweet flavors of cinnamon and cloves. We always ate buffet style. Food was set on the kitchen table. We served ourselves and sat at the more formal dining room table. I was expected to be a "gentleman" at the adult table, using proper eating manners and joining in the conversation. Wonderful memories!

In traditional Danish style, my family always makes duck confit, candied potatoes, pickled red cabbage, and plenty of yummy gravy for Christmas and I look forward to it all year! Some recipes have been passed down for generations and some have been tweaked.

As a Chinese-American, my favorite Christmas menu is simple but comforting. My family always does hot pot! We have all the ingredients spread out over multiple tables and we just chat and eat until full! Dipping sauce of choice is a raw egg, shacha sauce, and soy!

Hi Marion, Merry Christmas from Trinidad. I bake a traditional ham with pineapple- it’s like comfort food for me at Christmas. I glaze with cherry rum and pineapple juice. Every time I bake my ham I tell myself I’m going to marinate like Marion. Then I decide I can’t wait for marinating and just bake it 🙈. One year I will.. As other Trinis have said we have ham and pastelles (similar but not to tamales), bread, sorrel (wild hibiscus) drink and ponche de creme (similar but not to eggnog/ made with rum…), turkey and stuffing… just loads of food. On Boxing Day in Trinidad, many ppl eat curry- we would be doing Chinese. Your videos have given me and my husband the confidence to cook and your hainanese chicken rice has become our new comfort food during the pandemic. Thank you.

Oh my Christmas food is the absolute best! My Aunt put on the most amazing menu a few years ago. She's a fantastic cook! We have a lot of vegetarians in our family so she always goes out of her way to have lots of options everyone she can enjoy. She makes the most amazing roast potatos, she par boils them, shakes them in a colander to fluff the outsides and then roasts them and they get so crispy and beautiful. Her cauliflower and broccili cheese bake is also to die for. And the sauces (gravy and white sauce)! I'm drooling right now. She always spoils us when we come over 😊
