My favorite collectable for purple scripts has become the lvl 99 carpenter Rarified Claro Walnut Grinding Wheel, simply because all of its materials are easily gathered/crafted in mass, no bicolor gemstones needed, and at least 2 of the 3 mats will be likely useful for the next masterwork book recipes.

@@aerialdive Between the Magnesia Powder needed for the Ra'Kaznar Ingots and the Magnesia Whetstones needed for the Black Stars it's actually 10 powder per craft for the War Scythe compared to the 8 needed for the 99 CRP recipe. If you aren't using bicolor gem mats the CRP recipes for both 99 and 100 are the easiest in their respective levels

Not to mention, especially if you boost your spiritbond with consumables, you will get a ton of materia during the quick synths for precrafts. I have hundreds of materia without spending any scrips yet. You will burn through shards like crazy though.

@@HSExsiccator Can 100% confirm this. I did a huge bulk project for 900 of these last week and, while I wasn't keeping track of every materia I extracted, by the time I finished the precrafts w/ 2 spiritbond potions I had extracted a little over 50 command XIs alone lol

I am seeing in your sheet for your scrip/gil calculator you have gelatin listed at 350 gil a pop. It won't matter what server you are on, the most they should be is 10 gil a pop because that is what they cost from a vendor in the Crystarium. This makes the scrip/gil ration a bit better and with how quickly you can rip through making them they are my favored purple scrip collectable, as I value scrips/minute more than scrip/gil (though I don't completely throw that out)

@@TenelenTheScrub Because people are recommending the Bavarois as a quick way to make scrips, buying from the vendor in bulk is a nice way to offset the costs by selling extras at 350 a pop or whatever they are going for

For purple scrips I use the lvl89 Alchemist collectible. No crafted mats. I have my retainers gather everything. Then I use the 2 button combo to complete the craft in like 2 seconds.

I honestly prefer the lv100 ARM collectable for scrip grinding. You spiritbond your entire set while quick synthing all the materials really quick so you get even more materia along the way. And it's an armorer craft so it uses more of the cheaper crystals

Not a massive deal, but it would be nice to see the market value of crystals factored into the total costs on this because I could definitely see that pushing a collectable over the line into a smaller profit margin that I wouldn't bother crafting towards

Hmmm, that's very true. It is definitely a big factor that I just don't think about. It probably adds a decent cost to some of these. Not sure if I'll change this sheet up right now, but I'll keep it in mind for the future!

That's one of the reason why I swap to cooking collectibles (the lvl 90 and lvl 100 ones). My crystals consumption was insane before that.

Ya, alot of Crystals are 150 to 185 per. When you need 16 of them it can easily add a few thousand per craft. Especially if you're crafting hq sub mats for it

One thing that I noticed is missing is calculating the Crystal use as a cost when looking if its worth to sell for Gil. I only added it for the lvl 90 yet since the cost of the Palm Sugar is much higher in my DC, so buying it makes no sense.

Personally I prefer to use a recepie that doesn't need gemstones so I did the smithing war scythe as it can be easily gathered yourself entirely for free

You can probably get away with fewer collectibles, because you can stock up not just the 4k scrip but blast through custom deliveries for another 3k or so!

Do you think we'll need any HQ materials to craft the new master recipes if we have the recommended penta meld gear from TeamCraft? Trying to work out how many of the lvl 98 materials I can pre-craft quickly with quick-crafting, as I'm assuming some of them will be needed in addition to the legendary materials & new tome materials.

It's hard to say, I'm personally spending as much time as I can crafting up HQ only materials just in case before the patch comes out so I can craft the gear faster. There's a pretty good chance you'll be able to get away without them, the crafting time of the gear will just be longer.

Crafting the new gear and selling it cheap for the broke homies. Seeing some crafters overprice gear is crazy. Know that there are some of us that will be selling the new gear at a lower price Hell yeah. I love crashing the market

Honestly, I'm in. I like to make some gil off the hardcore raiders the first day or two, and then I'm happy to craft gear for a decent profit but make it affordable for everybody. I want more people to get into crafting and gathering so it's easier for all to have it.
