It’s really nice to see people enjoying your very good recipes.I made a winter bread pudding in the restaurants,cubed homemade bread,dried in the over,shredded apples,raisins,fresh cranberries,then lots of English spiced custard,soaked overnight,then baked in ramekins in a water bath,Americans like bread pudding a bit custardy.I also did a chocolate,chocolate chip,banana pudding,and a white chocolate,raspberry,sliced almond one.My mom made a dark brown bread pudding very stodgy,you could cut in slices,then pick up and eat,I loved it,I think she put both coffee,and cocoa powder in it,I never got the recipe.I never liked my mom’s bread,and butter pudding,but the one you made looked good.😊

Looks Yummy..I make a cranberry orange relish (grandma's recipe) Easy to do. Fresh or frozen cranberries, a whole orange, rind and all, sugar. Whiz up in a blender or food processor. Done. Nice with any poultry dish. Sometimes I mix some with whipped cream and chill it for a quick fluffy dessert. Cranberries here are cheap so I stock up in the freezer. Thanks Rik

Hi Ryk, I've been subscibed to your channel for a year or so. I came to your channel for ideas for a series that I participate in at my church (in Los Angeles) that highlights dishes from different countries. Your recipes are always do-able and don't require special equipment, which I appreciate. At this exact moment, the cranberry bread pudding is in the oven. I can't wait. For those of your viewers on this side of the pond, I found a web store located in Boston MA that offers small packets of English mixed spice. A little bit goes a long way, and it's a lot more convenient than collecting all those little bottles of spice.

Yes, it is! I can make almost anything into a bread pudding savoury or sweet. I had a couple of years living off stale bread - It was meant to be - didn't feel like it at the time. No this bread isn't the milk bread - that is available here too. Appreciated, David as always. Thank you. Best, Rik

Very nice with dried cranberries which are readily available in Canada. And creative uses for day-old type bread are always welcome. I frequent the discount baking bins at a local bakery because that is an economical option for a pensioner and some of the fancier baking goodies make their way to the discount shelf. However, I am freezing the discount rye bread for a savory stuffing side dish.

Good one Rik, I suppose you could use anything really, i have tried using Banannas in chunks! with a bit of lemon juice to stop`em going brown, but really anyrthing fruit dried. Maybe you could use Gluten Free Bread aswell what`s your thoughts?
