I just made this poncho for my daughter, but I used Lion Brand Ferris Wheel in the color Cherry on top. It worked up quick and the yarn gives it a nice drape. She hasn't received it yet, but she was so excited when I showed her the picture of it. My 12 yr old modeled it with a goofy look on his face and pose to match. You know how boys are 🤣😂🤣

I like how this pattern is a good "jumping off point" for us to have fun. We can use your numbers, and then embellish if like. I'm thinking the fun you give us, knows no ends ... I hadn't crocheted in a very long time (since the'80s) but when my granddaughter came across a picture of a woman wearing a crocheted poncho, without thinking, I immediately said, "I can make you one of those" and she was thrilled! Well, I immediately Googled for poncho pictures/patterns but immediately realized I was in waaay over my head. Then switched over to KZbin, typed in "crocheted poncho" and, miraculously, your name and videos popped up almost immediately. I decided to make this poncho for my granddaughter because the only stitches I know (chain, single and double crochet) are the only ones used here so I thought, excellent project for me! I measured my granddaughter, shoulder to wrist and and am making rows accordingly. To make the neckline smaller for her, I will add a row of ribbing from one of your hat patterns in another video! The poncho is going so well, if I have time and extra yarn I'll make her the little hat with the ribbing to match! Thank you so much for your amazing, easy to follow patterns and techniques. You made me a hero in my granddaughter's eyes! 💖

Love # 3 weight and below yarn. Love this yarn. Love the ease of the pattern. Love that it’s easy to adjust to plus sizes by using a little math and a few extra stitches to the foundation change. A poncho was on my wish list this fall. Thank you for sharing.

You know, I just realized that you have your playlists by type of item as well as having playlists for YARN WEIGHT!!!! Omg THANK YOU SO SO SO MUCH!!! I always have the problem where I have yarn that I wanna use and I know what I want to do with it but I can’t find a tutorial that uses that type of yarn or that weight. Right now I have beautiful DK yarn and for the life of me I couldn’t find any ponchos… Until now so thank you thank you!

i like the decorative idea of it being in the BLO, but I wonder how it would look in the 3rd loop. I made a beanie that way and it turned out really pretty. Perhaps you ought to try that. Would love to see a video.

I made this a few weeks ago and it turned out totally amazing! I used caron simply soft and a size K hook and it had the most amazing drape! It just "flowed" as I moved. Could not have been happier with this pattern! Great tutorial! Thumbs up!

Lisa Carbajal You should do fine following Crystal's tutorial. I've only been crocheting a few months and at first I thought that it would be at least a year before I would be able to make a garment. Well, I just finished my fourth bohemian nights poncho!! Plus I've made scarves, shawls, hats, a bunch of washcloths, etc... Crystal is my #1 KZbin teacher! Good luck!!!
