Thanks Glenda. Thanks for introducing this unique stitch. I could see using this to make a rug. I especially liked how you used different hook sizes to show how dense or loose this pattern can be. ❤️

Hook & Needles, thank you for sponsoring this video! I've not tried subscriptions like this before, yet when Glenda showed us the "crochet box of goodness", including 3 different pattern possibilities with the same yarn, my interest was peaked! As soon as I'm out of the hospital, I'm going to your website. Many thanks again for sponsoring this video! MaryAnne

Love the comparison with hook sizes!!! Using the comparatively same yarn thickness with three different sized hooks is so interesting and helpful! Many thanks. Now I know what hook to try when I make this. And oh yeah - the stitch tutorial was great, too! 😄The texture this stitch makes is really beautiful. Hadn’t paid much attention to the half double slip stitch before now. Thanks, Glenda! ❤

Beautiful stitch! I need to make a couple of blankets for gifts and already have the yarn, Premier Puzzle. Although I love the stitch I don’t think it’s a TV yarn for me bc of the holding of the yarn to pull through. I am ADHD and have the attention span of a mosquito and I’d probably would have to frog more than crochet. I need a “no matter what is going on around me” stitch. And also it looks best on a solid color. The Puzzle yarn needs a simple stitch IMHO. I’ll look over all your stitch patterns. But this stitch is a keeper! Thanks, this grandma loves everything you do.

I wish they would also offer to buy these boxes as single order. Or if they would offer the monthly boxes as e-book to download, as most of us have some stash to use for these projects. After all, their boxes don't have huge projects and receiving a monthly idea together with the information needed to work it, would be especially interesting for crocheters and knitters with stashed yarns.

Half double crochet slip stitch. It looks so similar (in execution) to half double crochet that I had to actually do both stitches to understand the difference. Thanks to other commenters for naming both stitches. It helped me get it sorted.

Glenda if I want to make a blanket what would the beginning chain count be?

You would just chain to the width you want, no stitch multiple for this stitch pattern, then work to desired length

I have been with these crochet boxes but I absolutely hate the hooks! They send a flat hooks when direction show a different hook…I have been dissatisfied with this. Please understand I can’t use a flat hook ….
@Oceangirl_5053 ай бұрын
Maybe Hook & Needles send different hooks than other companies? No matter what a company sends, I use Clover Amour Hooks which are the best! I donate the hooks sent in kits, so others who can't afford may use them. I hope that you have a delightful day.
