I appreciate your videos very much! I'm the proud new owner of a 2000 XJ Sport 4d, 4x4 that has been off the road for twelve years after it was pretty much ran into the ground. I do have it running and driving now, the engine and trans seem to be okay and so far I've replaced the in-tank fuel pump, power steering pump and hoses, front brake calipers, pads, rotors, and rubber brake lines. I've also replaced the alternator and battery, Installed a new cheap amazon radio (old one didn't work at all, plus I wanted Bluetooth). All four factory speakers have been replaced. The headliner board was removed and the old foam-backed material was removed and I painted it with rattle-can grey. That turned out way better than I expected. I'll cover it with some material later after I figure out what I want. The hood has been taken down to the metal and painted flat black. I still need to do the roof... A small amount of surface rust is starting, but not as bad as the hood was. There is still a ton of work to do. You name it, it needs it...The radiator, water pump, electric radiator fan, The AC doesn't work, The rear springs are sagging. The front springs and all four shocks needs replaced including stopping the death-wobble. That happens between 55 - 60mph (Wow! now that will wake a fellow up on a early morning drive to work! Ask me how I know, LOL) I said all of this to let you know that watching your videos has given me some added confidence to get this old XJ out of the field and back on the road. You make it look so easy! My grandson will soon be five and he has fell in love with this old jeep. Thanks again!

Great video to show full removal of the dash. If you're just going after the hvac box on a 97 to 01 xj you don't have to remove the column or pull the entire dash out. You drop the column let it rest on the driver sweat. You can unbolt the dash and pull it away far enough to remove the hvac box. Might save someone a couple hours. Just did one a couple weeks ago lol.

Can I bring you my 2000 XJ to work on?🤣Previous owner bypassed the heater core. When I got it, it had a funny smell. Putting 2 and 2 together, I figured out the heater core may have leaked. I did chase down some O2 sensor codes. Replaced 3 out of four. Then a crank no start. CPS! Some how the wires of the CPS were cut by the sensor. Replaced it. After a while, it happened again in the same spot. Wires were cut. HOW are the getting cut and by what. OR, are they getting smashed/pinched and by what? Now I have to chase down a P0743, torque converter circuit open or short. What and where is this? I do know what a torque converter is. I'm a disabled veteran. The Army beat me up pretty good, and I'm pushing 63. If I lay down on the ground or floor, I have to have an action plan on how am I going to get back up!🤣 I do have a mechanical and electrical aptitude. But, my experience, knowledge and physical ability is limited. The mind is willing, but the body says no way!🤣 I do enjoy your videos and your antics. Very knowledgeable and entertaining.
