So do you use the kayak trolley to get to and from the water vice backing down anywhere even near the ramp? If so, I think I like that plan as I get ready to purchase and build out a trailer to hit spots in NW Florida.

no, I almost always back it into the water and launch like a boat. I use the cart if I have to park some distance away and can't back the trailer near the water.
