I'm from the UK. I have a 2010 S204 T Model rear wheel drive. Judging from what I heard from the video it sounded more like a knocking from your suspension. It doesn't take much of a pot hole to make the knock and bang. The same was happening on my car. Change your upper and lower track control arms both sides and the old girl will drive like a new bus. One of my lower ball joints was toast. The other was OK but if you do one side you do both. The upper on the right side the ball joint was OK but the metalastic bush was split from the outer bush tube. The left upper ball joint was good as was the bush but again, you do one side you do both. Let's face it, they were put on at the same time and have done the same milage. When doing the upper arms you have to remove the two bottom strut bolts and push the hub down to get the ball joint out. Annoying but a sad fact. 🤬

Thanks for all that great info Alec. At some point I think I'll just do an entire front end rebuild.

Also update before I had no noise like this just a strange wobble and I inspected and saw 2 torn boots so I replaced the piece. Has to be cv axle related so how I wonder what we messed up because now I have this noise over bumps

Before had a vibration at higher speeds and cv axle damaged with ripped boots this sound has to be a shit cv axle I’m almost positive!!
@MarkGeorgeFantasticAdventures Жыл бұрын
I suppose a junk cv axle could be the cause. When I first installed the new axle, I didn't have it locked all the way in. If you got it together but the lock ring wasn't completely locked in, I think that would cause these issues. Something to check.
