Love this! I've begun to try and learn to do some basic makeup since I'm now working and I know I have terrible dark circles that doesnt look too great as my position is one where I have to greet clients/guests and look professional. i wouldn’t recommend this technique for people with not much space between their eyes and eyebrows (hooded eyes) ^^ it will make ur eyes even more hooded if u darken the crease, instead imo it looks better when the crease is lighter shade, along with inner corner of the eye and above it is a darker shade to contour it a bit as well as the outer corner of the eye edit: ofc this is just from personal experience, try both and see which one u prefer on ur eyes!

What are your thoughts on tight lining the upper eyelid? I always see it used in a lot of tutorials, but as someone who doesn't have much make up experience, I always think to myself "how do people wash that off?"😅It's rarely talked about during makeup cleansing tutorials. Is it safe? I'm just curious because I don't have thick lashes, but if it's risking getting an eye infection then no thanks lol

Tight lining isn't really recommended unless u use a kohl eyeliner, as kohl is healthy for ur eyes whereas traditional eyeliner isn't and will clog ur tear ducts(i think) also the part where u wonder how it gets washed off, i too have no idea 😂 i usually skip tight lining and instead apply mascara as i feel that adds enough depth and emphasis to the top of my eyes ! Also attempting tight lining is so painful as i keep accidentally poking my eye so i skip that 😅

I totally forgot about kohl liner 😅 I just remembered, there was a YT video a while back by a doctor on removing tight liner the proper way and I was like, "ok, that's TOO much work" LOL but since then I never see it mentioned on makeup cleansing vids. Everyone just puts it on easily and takes it off like magic 😂 Meanwhile we're over here trying not to stab our eyes LOL. I'm pretty minimal when it comes to makeup, so I always reach for my clear mascara.. but your tip made me realize I also have regular mascara.. so why not use it.. Idk why I never think about trying it out on my "no makeup" days 🤦‍♀I'm gonna give it a try though, ty!! 😤👍

This really helps a lot. It looks nice and you have sort of the type of eyes I have! .. but I have to use all organic stuff because I breakout really easily and the mascara Dosent look natural like I want it and I need a better spool and my eyes water a lot so sometimes the liner dosent stay! 😅

You said to draw the eyeliner as close to the lashes as possible, but i didn't see you do that? You just drew the outer corner. Did i miss something?

you’re correct, that is what she did. she skipped other parts of the eye (inner and middle eye) and only drew eyeliner for the outer corners. keeping it as close to the outer lash line as possible. drawing eyeliner over the inner and middle lash line of the eye can make the eyeliner appear “bulky”, especially for beginners who can lack precision. I’m saying this because I can relate ahah. I have a similar eye shape and I prefer to use the same method as hers for a more natural and clean look.
