Hi Bill, Nice to see you getting out Fishing. The Weather is finally getting better up here in Fife too. It's been a long Winter. A super Channel you have mate. Loads of different things to learn. Always pick up tips from you even though i am mostly a Sea Angler. Hopefully when you get some Sea Fishing in i will learn stuff there too. Pleasure to watch your videos Bill, and thanks for taking the time to do them. Steve in Fife.

Hi Bill.... After a long absence from fishing,I happened upon your channel a month ago.. Thanks to your enthusiasm and simple instruction,you have reminded me what I'm missing!.. Instead of being concerned about having the latest gear,it's about enjoying your surroundings and simple fishing!... I'm going to my local canal on Friday,armed with just a whip,and I can't wait!.. Thank you Bill,and keep the videos coming!

Scott Glover. Thank you for your nice comment. I’m glad you are getting back into fishing. Hope you catch well on the Canal. As I’ve tried to demonstrate you can catch a lot of fish on a simple whip. It’s the presentation and feeding that matter and location of course. Keep watching please as plenty more videos planned, including some more on the whip. Tight Lines

Nice video, I remember 40 odd years ago starlings were very common in my part of NE England, hardly see any these days. I always used to feed maggots to a robin on my local pond too, nearly took them out of your hand.

Garry Robson. Hi several of our bird species have seriously declined the house and tree sparrow used to be our most common bird but populations have crashed, other species have increased notably the red kite. We seem to be in a period of rapid change both wildlife and climate. Tight Lines

Nice video Bill, again some nice Roach there. There must be Carp in that lake i take it? when your tip went right round that must have been a Carp. Every time i've had bites like that so far they've turned out to be Carp.
@easyfishing19366 жыл бұрын
cns180784. Hi wasn’t a carp, I was connected for about 30seconds pretty sure that was a Tench. The carp in this lake go to the high thirties. One of the things about the helicopter rig is that bites can be very vicious even from smaller fish. Tight Lines

Daniel Haddon Hi thanks for that comment! I am not interested in the type of angler seated on a £1000 seatbox, wielding a £3000 pole with 8 spare top kits 3 keepnets and £50 of bait. I will happily leave that to the sponsored anglers! I’m not denigrating them in any way as I think we can all learn from them and I have won matches myself in the past and use a lot of match methods baits and tactics. I’m also not catering for the big fish brigade with three matching rods reels and bite alarms and loads of time. Again nothing wrong with that as I like targeting big fish myself and yes I do have a bivvy and bite alarms etc. What I’m aiming for is the average angler who enjoys their fishing, but doesn’t have loads of tackle time or money but who would like to catch more, and starters, children etc get into fishing and maybe come to love the natural world around us all. What's your thoughts on Avanti tackle I've got a 12 foot power waggler and 2 multi tip feeder rod so I can aim for fish from gudgeon - Barbel and carp matched with my Mitchel reels and DRENNAN tackle they ain't bad but my old 1976 3 price Ivan Marks bomb for that too works good

hi bill, great to see you back out, iv been enjoying fishing for silvers aswell during the close season. do you do any waggler fishing, has to be hands down my favourite way of catching these fish. is there any way of getting accurate without clipping up? clipping up never seems to work for me haha nice roach at the end btw
@easyfishing19366 жыл бұрын
BUSHCRAPPING. Hi glad you are enjoying catching “silvers”. Yes I have been trying to get out and fish the waggler for ages now but the weather has been against me! I’m not fishing the waggler for these fish as the lake is a bit deep and requires a sliding float and a strong wind prevents good presentation. However when it starts to warm up it’s different and I catch them shallow on the float. If you can’t get the hang of fishing to the clip or are worried about getting broken, try a couple of sliding stop knots, to prevent slippage, or a piece of power gum tied the same way. Tight Lines

never feed loose over a feeder only brings the fish up in the water . nice vid tho
@easyfishing19364 жыл бұрын
johnny wright Hi well if you watch another of my video’s you will see how effective loose feeding over the top of the feeder can be as I had roach to nearly 2 pounds and plenty of them. The object of loose feeding heavily is to drag the fish down in fifteen feet of water. It is not done normally but can produce the goods. If conditions allow I often float fish over the feeder line to see if they are up in the water but on this day the wind was to strong. Bill
