Mine must be really screwed. Absolutely nothing no matter what I try. I know this usually works. Mine went blank when I activated it for a friend after a factory reset. It went black the totally dead while installing Facebook messenger from playstore.

UPDATE... I left my over night as all these didn't work plugged it into my charger and bang it works again but I'm now using a old Samsung don't trust this now from this problem. Hope this helps ppl trying to save work and files on it

Holding down the power button + volume down button, did not work at all, including holding all button down 1 time for 20 sec. It never work and the nofication light is still on.

Same thing happen to me but when i bought the flip case in samsung it automatically fix the problem you dont have to press anything just close the flip cover and open it the screen goes back on...

i'm having this issue on my note 5 for the last two days. I can see the notification lights and both lights at the bottom but can't see the black screen.
