Louise, Don't really know what Mackerel is called in Sri Lanka but you can make this same curry with Sardines. Will taste the same. Delicious as always!🙂

Yes, you need to remove the seeds and discard it before you add the Tefla in the gravy.🙂

We get them from Goa ..easily avble in the Margao Mapuca bazar ..sold by local women Only comment..i don't use ginger in authentic Goan fish curry

Rosy, Yes we get fresh Bagdas everywhere in Goa. Do try adding Ginger in the curry. It does make the curry taste better. 🙂
