I had Korean food for first time. I was totally blown away buy so many of the dishes especially this dish. The guy I was with knew what he was doing and ordered everything including “the kimchi the staff eats” and it blew me away so many years wasted. I am 58 year old white that is going to making up for lost time now. 😂

For nearly cry-proof onions.. don't cut off the roots until the very end. Cut it like a blooming onion (the cry free part) then at last cut off the root bundle to release the last bit. That root section is the cry-making part
