My favorite costume - I bought a bunch of gray paint cards and taped them all over a blazer. Nobody could figure out what or who I was, lol! I was "50 Shades of Gray". I stumped everyone at the party I went to. It was fun!!

The button eyes you could maybe attach with glue for dentures, I see cosplayers sometimes use that trick, but be sure to also buy the specific glue remover/solvent, so It's easy to remove without hurting your skin.

I did a DIY Price is Right contestant a few years ago. Loved it and super easy. Used cardstock to make the oversized yellow nametag and bidding screen and laminated them. Pinned the name tag and just wore the bid screen piece as a necklace. You know how people add a dollar to the bid? My amount was: $1031 As in 10/31 Halloween 👻🎃😜 Came out super cute and took me like 30min to make.

I love watching these, I don't often get to do much in the way of "Halloween" costumes, because I've done Rocky Horror for over 25yrs. Halloween is big and we usually play the season 'straight' but will often do theme shows throughout the year.

I once went as a party guest from the "Rocky Horror Picture Show". Best thing is: You don't have to look exactly like one of them, because they were only extras in the background. A vibe is enough. I had most of the clothes/stuff I needed at home, and for the rest I paid 15 Euros or so (in a thrift store and a party shop). And it was such a fun costume 🥳

My favorite simple costume is to dress up as a road. You just need an all black outfit, tack on some felt strips for the arterial, add a toy car or two and whatever road sign option you choose. It’s also easy to make it a couples outfit by having your partner dress as a road construction worker.

I started making my Halloween costume over a month ago. I crocheted a black and red sweater to be a comfy/cozy Harley Quinn. Just pair with a black pair of leggings and some doc martens that I have already. And crocheted little clown-like ruffles to wear as a choker and around the tops of my boots.

This was enjoyable to watch while I was taking apart some old items to make a faux fur pellet for my Halloween/ renaissance fair costume. I am going as a Wild Hunt spirit (think Celtic worrier with stag horns.) Minus the plastic horns, and steer horn to sound the hunt, I created my costume out of repurposed clothing items I had for years. I’m not even done with it yet, but am still really proud of it

The very FIRST Sorry Girls Video I ever saw was a few years ago back in an old loft and you were setting up for a Harry Potter party. At this point it was mostly just Kelsey & Becca, but I think Danielle was still there as the camera person. You set up a 9 & 3/4 doorway, Lots of games/subjects and of course foods. Here’s a list of easy but crafty costumes I’ve done: Cookie Monster with an all blue outfit and a styrofoam eyes glued to a headband, mary poppings, and last minute I was a cute witch and matrix 😅 If I had anywhere to wear it, I’d for sure be one of Chappell roan looks. The pig red carpet or the vmas red carpet would be like top tier but probably the hardest ones to replicate.

A few I've done are the black market: all black outfit with fake ssn, dob, and names all over, smarty pants: dress kinda nerdy with glasses and suspenders and pin the smarty candy all over your pants, thing 1 & 2: use as i am or another temporary hair color gel in teal and all red outfit. The hair color gel works great for sooo many ones like Inside out too

Best two costumes I've ever seen (one simple, one complex): Simple one: was at a college party and saw a guy wearing a blue sweater, then had a rubber chicken on a rope around his neck - like the chicken was a large pendant - we had to ask and he was Chicken Cordon Bleu (or Chicken Cord-on Blue, to be punny)! The complex one, we had a kid in the neighborhood who was a claw machine! He build a box from dowels & cardboard held up by suspenders around him. The bottom was solid, so it was filled with stuffed toys. He fashioned the claw out of aluminum foil and the 3 "glass sides" were heavy plastic sheeting. He even had one of those battery operated tap lights in the top.

To make those button eyes work you could buy some skin tone or old wire glasses at the thrift and then pop the lenses out and glue the buttons to the glasses. That would be way easier than eyelash glue and you can easily take them off when they get heavy!

Last year I was a scarecrow. It's just a strawhat, flannel, boots and jeans and of course make-up. I went out and foraged some grass and leaves and glued them to my outfit and a year later the glue didn't really come of BUT my friend said that you can iron the hotglue through a bakingsheet and it'll transfer so I'll try that. But yeah very simple yet effective. 👍👍

So many costumes I’ve worn over the years. Favorite is hard to pick. But one of my memorable ones was one I wore two years in a row. I was a pink fluffy flamingo ages five and six. I was just a little smol gorly w a pink fluffy flamingo costume w little arm loops so you can wear the wings and flap them around. If I can find photos I’ll post them someday. Back in my Norcal days we needed a warm costume for halloween so I’m not cold while collecting candy.

one halloween in my twenties, i went as gogo yubari from kill bill. i DIYed my own ball with spikes and printed the school logo and slapped it on a blazer. got a plaid skirt from target that was on clearance and wore chuck taylors and knee-high white socks. i already had a white button down shirt in my closet. my friends and i went clubbing at boystown (the gay district in chicago) and omg, i cant remember how many gay guys came up to me to have a selfie/take a picture with me on their digital camera (this was like 2009 or something, when the movie was fresh on everyone's minds). for one night, i felt like a celebrity, lol
