Yes, used - don't care for them, and I do not use any expensive knives. I prefer the cheap end. I like thin-blade knives for slicing kilos of onions. The other knives I have had for years are still relatively inexpensive ones. I have no interest in the folks who turn up in my restaurant (long ago) with a roll-up full of fancy expensive knives than they used just one for most jobs. Knives are personal taste - how they feel in your hands - and whether they are balanced when using them. I'm sorry I can't give you any more guidance. It's down to choice and what you choose. That is down to choice - are they too heavy, or do they feel cheap? The pans I use are relatively inexpensive - I don't do expensive! Never have. I pick them up, and if they feel ok in my hands - that will do for me. There are always good and bad. Thank you. Best, Rik

Love the look of that pan you used here & use most days Rik, it looks like an excellent all rounder. I’m assuming it’s sold as a wok, is it sold on Amazon as I need a new wok, have a smaller sized one which is fine for many dishes but a bit small for fried rice, chow Mein etc.

I do like these little pies so easy so tasty. Just made some corned beef and tatty one enough to freeze a batch, unfortunately with two boys who can eat the freezer doesn't get a look in. These look equally tasty. I do like a little carrot or garden peas in ( a sneaky one of five a day) . I will make these but I cannot see them hanging around long with my two :))).

You can blame Devon Savouries or Mountstevens ( Two blast from the past for Bristolians) but I usually use puff pastry for mince beef pies 😃😃 Either way, it's a grand recipe 👍 and I'm willing to have my mind changed. Cheers for sharing

Left over mince a good use is a bread crust, hollowed out, and filled, then the remainder of the egg wash on top. mini bunny chow. My friend really liked the Tesco brown sauce, he found it was the perfect one to use.
