This is why you get a moon pool early game: it charges your seamoth you can upgrade it early on and it provides is safe area to repair you seamoth after an expedition But mostly so you dont have to constantly make power cells

So funny story I was trying to find diamonds in a mushroom forest and I was careful not to go too deep, and I was kind of on the edge of bulb zone and then returning to the proper mushroom forest when I heard the noise. I wasn’t sure it was a leviathan so I didn’t panick yet. The I saw its awful face in front of my seamoth and it took seconds before he broke it. I swam to the surface and somehow in my attempt to flee I had found one of those floating islands. He swam around me one last time before apparently fleeing, and I was able to get on land back to safety🥲My first actual leviathan attack. I saw leviathans before, one behind the engines of the aurora but I just never got too close. And then one closer to the front somewhere, in the deeper water. I am trying my best to avoid them, but the one in the mushroom forest caught me of guard

A little further along there is a ship wreck that you can get fragments there.

If you encounter a reaper when going to the mushroom forest, you are going too far. It's very close to the flipped lifepod.

Typically you can swerve and outrun the reaper never go in a straight line

Tip: save then go there. If you die or something you can rejoin the world and you will be back at your last save slot

Oh i accidentally made it to the mushroom forest closest to the aurora- I thought I made it to the west one but then I saw lifepod 4 but got cobfused and there terrified cuz I thought I'd find a reaper- incredibly glad to know its not there!! That thing terrifies me.
