Thanks for this recipe! My youngest and I will really enjoy this. But I would love a chocolate spread recipe. My older daughter has tree nut allegies. With that she also can't do seeds. So the typical sunflower butter is also a no-go. I know how to make ganache, but that's a bit too thick. Do you know what I could do to make a creamier chocolate only spread?
@biggerbolderbaking18 күн бұрын
We haven't tried making one. Generally a flavorless vegetable oil is used to make spreads spreadable. We can't make any recommendations on recipes we haven't tried yet, sorry.
@samra238618 күн бұрын
Maybe try chocolate tahini spread? You can eyeball it to your desired consistency and you can use also bits of sesame oil if the mixture is too thick if you don't want to use the regular vegetable oil.

@제정은-f7j so, she CAN eat peanuts... those are legumes. Not nuts or seeds. However, she just dislikes the taste. I can't win! Lol. Toasted milk powder..... hmmmm I don't think it would be a mixing issue. But I don't know if it would have the same texture in the end. I think it needs that 'meatyness' that the seeds/nuts give. Hi Gemma. How did you make the milk chocolate? Did you just melt ‘milk’ chocolate bars in the microwave? Did you add anything? How much percentage cocoa in that bar? Thanks
@biggerbolderbaking17 күн бұрын
I melted the chocolate using a bain marie www.biggerbolderbaking.com/bain-marie You want to make sure your bowl fits snugly over the saucepan, so the steam is trapped beneath it. When melting chocolate, you don’t want steam to come out from the sides of the bowl, as the moisture can make your chocolate seize, which is hard to fix. Hope this helps.

question: Why do baking recipes call for unsalted butter but then add salt?
@biggerbolderbaking13 күн бұрын
Not all recipes do. Based on feedback, some bakers find salted butter, too salty, hence the option to go for unsalted. They add salt, to enhance flavor, but not so much if preferred. Salt is mainly in the recipe for flavor.

Maybe I can do this with sunflower seeds
@biggerbolderbaking13 күн бұрын
Not so sure about sunflower seeds. But if you are experimenting, we'd love to hear how it turns out. Alternatively, you can use these nuts as well: Almonds: Use roasted almonds for a similar texture, with a slightly sweeter taste. They make a delicious, creamy spread. Cashews: These provide a rich, smooth texture and a mild flavor. Cashew Nutella will be extra creamy. Pecans: Roasted pecans give a deep, buttery flavor and work well for a unique twist on Nutella. Macadamia Nuts: These will create a rich, buttery spread with a smooth texture, perfect for an indulgent nutty treat. Hope this helps.
