Worked really well as cupcakes also. (no cake tin) I decreased the cooking time and they turned out great. Used strawberries and in others used fresh, very ripened pineapple....... oh and a drop of almond extract.... very adaptable. Thanks for the video sir!

My second one is in the oven right now so we obviously liked it. Warming it up just a bit brought out the strawberry flavor more to me and I’m pretty sure I used more berries (99 cents a box? I’ll be a sport). I meant to add the vanilla and forgot. Next time. It’s worth making a recipe card for my file box. Dying to do strawberry rhubarb!

You did what I'm thinking about doing when I get ready to make this. How much vanilla did you use? I think putting chopped strawberries in it and on top helps make sure you get strawberry in just about every bite. I'm wondering how Ready Whip or a cream cheese icing would taste on it?🤔

I tried it with a half cup too, but I'd reccomend using the full cup if you're not watching your sugar intake. A half cup doesn't make the cake taste very sweet.

I was so sure this cake recipe would turn out perfect. So I baked one and am forwarding this cake recipe to my friends and family. I made this with plain wheat flour. We don't get to buy sour cream where I live. So I made this with yoghurt; that too adding water to make it one cup. Then having no other oil other the cooking coconut oil, I used that instead of canola oil or sunflower oil. I baked this cake without fruits having no fruits with me. This cake is so soft and fluffy and also moist. Thank you, David, for this perfect cake recipe.

Baked it in a loaf pan. Took me hour and 45 mins to bake it (until I was done.lol) then I thought it’s enough and got it out despite the slightly wet toothpick...and it came out PERFECT, delectable. Thank you for a great and easy recipe!

2 eggs 1 cup of sugar >mix 1 cup of sour cream 1/2 cup vegetable oil > mix Sifted (2) cups AP 2 tsp baking powder Pinch of salt >mix until fluffy Pour in ½ pan and press in strawberries in intervals Bake at 350 for 50-60 minutes

I would add that some thick cream would take this to the next level, but will have to try that next time because this cake was gone ina blink of an eye. Oh, I also halved the sugar - half a cut is more than enough for my liking.

I noticed that some of your berries still have a "core". Sometimes taking of the cap doesn't get the core, just a tiny cut removes it and makes the cake look and taste better. I worked at a large berry farm in WA state for 40+ years, so I do know my berries, raspberries, loganberries, blueberries, blackberrries and boysenberries.
