I have watched for a while so I decided to try a few things following your suggestions, Chef AJ. I used a 1/2 large bag of broccoli florets, mixed Dijon mustard with teriyaki CA balsamic vinegar and coated the broccoli. Air fried for about 20 minutes or so. Yum! Then, I used a bag of large brussel sprouts. Mixed Dijon mustard with plain CA balsamic vinegar and coated the brussel sprouts and air fried for 30 minutes. The second batch were small brussel sprouts coated in CA pear balsamic vinegar. Air fried 15 minutes. These turned out so good!! Thanks, Chef!!❤

Chef AJ, great recipes! I look forward to trying them. Concerning the banana pudding: when I use chia seeds as a thickener, I grind them in a coffee grinder first. It helps with the texture issue you mentioned and thickens just as well, in my experience.

I got her UWL book and made the oven roasted ratatouille. OMG! So delicious! I only added some chopped fresh basil and parsley after roasting. And I made the brussel sprouts roasted with the mustard-balsamic glaze. Fantastic! I’m hooked on roasted veggies. I’m roasting veggies almost daily. And since I started having vegetables for breakfast, instead of oatmeal with fruit, nuts, and maple syrup, my energy level is up and the cravings for sweets and refined junk is down.

Wonderful. The shirt and necklace look super on you. Some people may prefer white rather than black chia seeds in the pudding. Can use a spoon to scoop cantaloupe away from the rind. I could get you a larger cutting board and a thin rubber spatula. :) I measure teaspoons and tablespoons etc. not over the bowl I'm adding to in case I overpour. Sodapop- waste of calories/harmful to health/addictive/fattening/makes manufacturers who are harming & addicting us wealthy. I put the lid on the blender container BEFORE putting the container on the blender base- avoids accidental ceiling food. :) Thank You.

I just kicked my 20 year addiction to diet soda. I replaced it with lemon water or I freeze chopped cucumber in ice cubes and add one to my glass. The sugar cravings still drive me nuts but one day they will go away. My taste buds are starting to find fruit sweet again so I’m hanging in there ☺️
@c.thompson97714 жыл бұрын
Fruit flavored sparkling waters, no sugars, some few do though. And flavored with the mother Vinegars! Elderberry, pinapple, coconut, turmeric, ginger, even lemon-lime! Totally makes it like a kombucha, and I guess in a way it is? Wonderful for all kinds of cravings. EXCELLENT for your gut health, forbid you've EVER taken antibiotics. THIS WILL fix you right up; heartburn the same, UNLESS you've ulcers, fix those FIRST. If actual fruit desired, soak a couple extra ripe frozen strawberries in drinks. I may use ONE frozen cube of soursop, for cancer fighting and pinapple/strawberry flavors. Has carbs, if ya care! Lol. White Peach flavor anything; oh and dried hibiscus flowers for nutrition and COLOR. Star anise beautiful as well. And a good trick is a few DROPS of real vanilla flavoring. This flavor thing REALLY KILLS cravings, especially when mixed with anything fizzzzy. Soak one of your fav teabags, or a couple, mix n' matcha, lol! Sry, has become a 'thing' of mine lately. Tonic waters often HAVE lots of sugars, check! Edit: A couple little chunks of your BEST salt, hits the craving, salt, mineral, and flavor profiles.

Carrol Thompson I’ve not found the flavoured vinegars here in the UK, and every drink Ive found has sweeteners so far, or it has citric acid. I like cucumber in my water, I put them in ice cubes and it is a nice subtle taste. Lemon is also nice.

Each and every one of these looks amazing. I’ve read your book-The Secrets to Ultimate Weight Loss and so many of the recipes look tasty to me. My only problem....feel free to laugh at me.....is I don’t know how to get started. What should a typical day of food look like? Brussels Sprouts in the am. Maybe a second breakfast later and then Pot-Atolie for lunch and chili for dinner? I don’t have any experience with squash or eggplant. When you list specific types is it a deal breaker if you don’t use “crookneck” squash? I REALLY want to kick my sugar addiction to the curb and believe your way of eating is the answer.

We tried balsamic vinegar for the first time last week. It was so strong, but exciting to my taste buds. I had no idea there were fruity vinegars. Looks like I'll be making a trip to the slightly fancier grocery store. We're just starting out on the low calorie density diet. Your video on how to sautee without oil was eye opening and I'm really enjoying these recipe suggestions. When I told my mom about our diet change she became very disappointed because she likes our cooking and is worried our food will be bland. Hi chef AJ. I love your channel. I have been trying to change to a vegan diet but keep failing. I have noticed about two weeks into eating a vegan diet all of my joints start hurting. Im only 47 so i don't know why this happens every time i take out meat and dairy and increase vegetables. Someone told me I am detoxing. Did you go through this at all in the beginning? Thanks!
@YouLookSoHappy5 жыл бұрын
It's very possible that your body is flushing excess acid and waste, and you are feeling it in your joints. Try exercising and drinking more water to help the fluids in your body push the released acid/waste out. Sometimes you have to move your lymph system to help move things through. Also, try making it to 30 days, then 60, then 90 days, as best you can. Three months will give you the true feeling of your system adapting to the new diet (and reaping all of the benefits!). Especially if you have been a meat/dairy eater for decades. It takes time. Keep up the good work and keep increasing your veggies. You are on the right path! :)
