I do miss my Vulture. I ended up upgrading to the Reclaimer. It's a bit slower, but I feel like it can scrape and eat ships faster and it has the option of making 16scu crates so I have fewer boxes to move, which is nice. If I want to do a quick run, I only have to move like 2 or 3 16scu crates. Moving all 26 crates from the Vulture got really old. However, I did enjoy flying the Vulture.

I personally just salvage around Grim Hex and sell there. Might not yield as much but it is way easier. Around 240k aUEC per full vulture (26 SCU, not using the non grid space)

This is still risky as of now, because the servers end up with a full crash not even the meshing will recover. You might have experienced the random black screens. Once this happens while you're out with your cargo, it is literally rip.

I've also specced my Vulture with stealth components, but I can't seem to get my IR signature down. Even turning off both coolers doesn't bring it below 10k, yet Erkul says it should be close to 2k IR. Is there something else besides turning off everything except engines, scrapers and radar? Sidenote, if you turn off both coolers, won't your powerplants overheat and get damaged? And thanks for the tutorial, always glad to learn something new!

IR display is bugged in-game for your own ship. Cpt_Foxyloxy tested it pretty thoroughly and detection range from IR is equal to the value calculated by Erkul/spviewer/etc, and not the much higher value displayed in-game. Your ship's signature even displays correctly to other ships targetting you via the target info pane. So you can trust the value given by Erkul!

Fyi crafting a multitool should be a last resort. You need to rmc and construction materials to craft a multitool and tractor beam. It's better to just bring one with you.

Agreed: i'm finally grinding up some aUEC, after being locked in Horison for a week and even hauling around has become damn headache with all the speed steps, while monving in and out any place. Once flying was fun and natural, now I'd prefer to fill my own tax forms
