Easy, Stuffed Baked Clams With Prosciutto, Italian Style!
Makes 8 Stuffed clam shells.
1.5 Tbsp. Butter.
3 Slices of Prosciutto.
Melt butter, cook the prosciutto until the fat is rendered.
Add Veggies until slightly translucent.
Add garlic until fragrant.
1/4 each of green and red bell pepper.
1/2 of a small onion.
1/2 tsp. of dried Oregano.
Hot seeds to taste, I used roughly a 1/4 tsp.
Black pepper to taste.
2 cloves of garlic.
1/2 cup of dry white wine. I used more because there was a little left in the bottle which still works fine as long as you cook of the alcohol.
Juice from your drained canned clams.
1 can of minced clams (Snow's 6.5 oz.)
1 Tbsp. Fresh parsley.
Panko Breadcrumbs. add a little at a time until the moisture is absorbed. Approx a cup and a half.
1/2 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese, add once the mixture has cooled.
Check for seasoning. S&P.
Sprinkle smoked paprika over the top.
Bake at 350 until golden brown, these took just about 20 minutes to bake.
