Well explained Ian, thank you. A few comments: - It absolutely pays off to have the photos saved as RAW and then do post-processing, even if you just shoot a single hyperlapse and not combine them as you did with this nice effect showing the roundabouts during the day and night. The results after post-production are so much better than what the drone software produces with regards to colour grading and ability to stabilize the footage. - Important to understand is also, WHEN to take hyperlapses. In my view it is not worth to spend 15min waiting for a 12 seconds video, if the outcome is not worth it. So that is way, you need to have moving objects in your scene, like the cars in the roundabout, clouds in the sky, ships on the lake, etc. - When doing hyperlapses during the day, it is essential to NOT use automatic video settings, but set the shutter speed to about 1/5 s to have that nice motion blur we all like. Keep producing those videos Ian and yes Ted is a lovely dog!

It would seem to me that, if I wanted to fly a hyperlapse that would span a time longer than one battery, all I would need to do would be to set up a route with several waypoints and fly my first battery for as long as I could. On the next battery, bring up the previous route and delete the waypoints I've already flown (saving at least one where I previously flew), and resume flying/recording. From there I would need to stitch the ends of the clips in the right places. I have no idea if this would work, but I'll give it a whirl next week when I'm out with the drone. Good tutorial. I enjoyed it.

Hi. Great tutorial for the hyperlapses. But I got one question. If I want to repeat my saved hyperlapse, do I have to start my drone exactly at the same point as before? Or can I start from an other point and the drone flies automatically to the first waypoint? I hope zhis question is understandable.... (sorry for my bad English). Thanx
@IaninLondon4 жыл бұрын
The drone will fly from any location to the first way point to start. It has a 2km limit to the start....

Ian, thanks for putting this video together. It really explained the process well and I can't wait to try it out. The only question I had after watching it is, can I adjust the speed of transition between waypoints to ensure that the footage is smooth or is this simply automated so I don't have to worry about it looking jerky?
