Yes you can but the taste will not be the same. Try to use canned coconut milk if you canned find fresh coconut.

Best is buy the whole coconut on the shell remove the white part and blend with water make the milk from that by draining in to a cheese cloth and squeeze or an alternative can use almond milk similar coconut
