Today we look at the Rightline Gear Truck Tent. It is one of the few truck tents that I could find without a floor in it and this one certainly hit the spot.

Howdy from Dallas, Texas. I am Ray, the owner of Hike-ALOT and also co-owner of the Texas Survival School. The Hike-ALOT school itself was born as an avenue to give students from the wilderness survival school and my frequent day hiking companions, make the jump from day hiking to overnight backpacking. The name itself is a reference to where our students come from - Arkansas(A), Louisiana(L), Oklahoma(O), and Texas(T). That is why it is “ALOT” instead of “a lot”.

Nice setup thanks for showing us. I need to find something for my truck the canyon with double cab has a 5.5 bed. And I have a shell as u recall. Glad this is a decent option for many folks

I have the same tent for my 8' bed. I can leave my bed cover on and folded up toward the cab. It makes a great shelf for storage or a place for a grandkid or two to sleep. ENJOY!

It was one of the few I could find without a floor. So far I’ve been quite pleased but have also only spent about 15 nights in it so I guess that could change.
