I went through 2 c-clamps with your method. The bolt piece bends every time making the clamp forever unusable..

Did you watch the whole video? You have to get the ball joint loose first with a tool of your choice,in my case it was a scissor type ball joint separator. The C clamp trick is just to push down on the control arm whilst pulling the wheel knuckle to the side, it helps you overcome the resistance of the control arm with it's extended leverage.

Maybe try turning the C clamp over so the threads are against the lower strut and the pry bar works against the C part of the clamp.

Wow, nice crease you made in the control arm. Hope you realized you did that and replaced the control arm before you drove it.

Yes, there is a tool for that. But this video shows you what to do when you don't have that and you have to improvise.

Didn't work for me. I managed to bend my cheap 8" harbor freight c clamp. It's fully jammed so I'll have to cut it off with a cutting wheel. The worst part is, the ball joint is still stuck. I'm not saying that your video isn't a good idea. Just make sure you have a high quality c clamp. I didn't so it created more work for me.

The c clamp trick is to push down the control arm if you don't have appropiate tool for it. The ball joint was broken loose with the scissor type ball joint separator.
