I did this for about a week, and then stopped. While I wouldn't always get rare islands I would always get DIFFERENT islands. I've stopped for about two weeks now, and basically switch between bamboo, sister fruit, and one of the basic starter islands. Whenever I throw in a random clap I ALWAYS get one I haven't been to in awhile - even if not considered a rare options.

Since they decreased the spawn rate for the egg balloons, if you just stand at the beach and watch the sky whenever the time ends in a 5 or 0 and run up and down your beach, I found the normal balloons were a lot easier to get, and I got more of them. Instead of getting one cherry blossom recipe per every couple of days, I got a couple per day and have all the recipes now.

KazuoSaitoh All balloons during the day should come from one side of the island, but once it hits night time, the balloons will start spawning on the other side of the island. I found that very helpful when grinding for the cherry blossom recipes.

Yeah, good explanation. That’s what I essentially did to grind out all of recipes. The bunny day items don’t actually interfere with the regular balloon spawns at all. I tried to get all items fast, and did it in about 10 hours.

Alright so I did a lot of hours of testing. When you're already on an island and you clap for the other dodo, MORE RARE BUGS/FISH WILL SPAWN. I cleared an island to make it a moth island and after I clapped at him and then he blushed, I caught 6 tarantula's in a row! Might be worth looking into anyone else!

The first hour, no clapping and I got no tarantulas. 2nd hour, clapped at him until he blushed once, got a tarantula (keep in mind I still had tree spawns for Atlas Moths so ground spawns would have been mostly taken by mole crickets and water bugs). The next hour I clapped at him until he blushed whenever I wanted a tarantula and that hour I caught 6 of them. The next 30 mins I would just run up to him as I was doing laps on the island and I caught 4 tarantulas. It was wild!

When you shake a tree, always keep a net in hand and ALWAYS stand more toward the front of the tree and off to the side slightly. Then when a wasp nest falls your character will auto turn *just* right so all you have to do is swing your net and the wasps practically climb in.

The normal (blue, green, red and yellow) balloons usually come out every 5 minutes, when the clock ends with 4 or 9 you can start hearing them, and you can pop them by 5, 10 or 00. Just by going to the east at day and to the west at night, and staying still at the middle of the island, you can hear the noise they make and/or see their silhouette in the distance and constantly pop them, I used this method to get all the Cherry Blossom Recipes that I was missing this past saturday/sunday night. Also, as you mentioned, it's recommended to equip the net before shaking a normal tree, but it's also better to position yourself infront of the tree, right in the middle, this way, when they come out you just press A and capture them, it works every time.

Hi! I saw a tip online about the directions of the balloons during the day and night, and they always fly one direction on your beaches! So for me, during the day the balloons come from the East side beach. And at night they come from the west side beach. What I did was just be on my pier at night where I can see the balloons approaching. I avoided the egg balloons and only pop the normal color ones. I hope this helps! I just got the last cherry blossom diy tonight from this method :)

To save you time Rare island increase slightly by using positive emotes (in this case, the clapping emote) around the Dodo in the airport. This makes him blush and in turn increase your chances of him sending you off to a rarer island. Rare villagers, if a friend has a villager YOU want, make sure that villager is moving out, and you can go recruit them to your island

8:30! He just goes over the method of inviting a friend's villager to your island when they're moving out. This kinda sucks though because the chance of your friend having a cool villager and wanting to kick them out is rare lmao. My best suggestion would be to go to 3 islands using nook tickets after placing down the 3 housing plots nook wanted you to (the ones you had to craft items for). You can meet villagers there and I got Meringue, Zucker, and Flora on 3 separate islands that way. It only worked when I was setting down those first 3 though, I tried again when I put down other housing plots and I just got lame villagers. You could also try amiibo cards but those didn't work well for me, they didn't want to move in :c I hope this helps though!

you have to find another villager the 1st day where the plot is empty to guarantee nobody random is moving in. I spend my time in the game farming for nook miles tickets so im ready whenever someone decides to leave and dont just have like a day to collect tickets

If you already know this I apologize, but this is my trick with shaking trees. Always have your net out when shaking (and always shake before chopping), and do it in the front of the tree. If a wasp nest drops, immediately start hitting A so that your character swings their net the moment the little cut scene ends and you catch them before they even realize what happened!

I don't have any friends so can't visit other islands atm so I've been trying to get back to the fruit island so I could get new fruits (started with cherries, then got to the fruit island and got pears but then could never get nack to it). I did read that once you'd gotten a second fruit from that island that if you get back to it you won't get a third fruit, it will jist be the same as the last, but I've just tried this trick and it send me straight to an island full of peach trees! So pleased, thank you!

Although I've accidentally talked to them when hitting them with a net, theoretically resetting my ignoring so there's that. I didn't do any data collection myself, just looked around for guides.

There’s a trick I discovered a few days ago that lets you catch wasps every single time. Keep a net out when you shake trees, but stand directly in front of them. When a wasp nest falls, your character will make the shocked animation and turn directly to the wasps. After that, all you have to do is very quickly swing the net and you will catch one. You don’t even have to move. It has never failed me. (You can sell them for a decent profit, too)

Important is that u clear the sides of the tree. If not, it can happen that the wasp nest falls for expamle on a flower and jumps then infront of the tree where u are standing.... and then u have to run xD

Every balloon for me includes: Duplicate Bunny Day recipes, a sky egg, or a legit present. I've gotten ONE Sakura recipe despite in one sitting getting from tier 1 to 2 of the Balloon Popping Nook Mile achievement. 100 balloons and luckily at least it was the viewing lantern but seriously my drop chances must blow!

Bee tip. Shake from the bottom (while holding a net) no matter where the nest lands you will automatically face it, just tap A and you will collect it. Almost always a 100 percent success rate. Shake from the left or right side of the tree can work and will most of the time but the success rate can easily be lost by tapping the A button which can lead to shaking the tree. The other method plus tapping the A button will net you a bee without ever shaking the tree (unless the nest falls behind the tree somehow).

I stand on one side, shake it empty handed while my net is at the ready, it turns your character to face forward when you pull tools out. This will make it impossible to accidentally shake the tree again. You can also hit it with an ax as long as your net is a button press away
