Grateful for this: I really appreciate how you put it together ... you flagged up how to go straight to the exercise for anyone just needing to act quickly; you spoke quietly, calmly and succinctly, as if understanding that people tuning in might well be feeling very stressed and agitated (and not needing a delivery that was long, loud, physically- demonstrative and potentially triggering); you gave options, time and space for doing the different parts of the exercise - important for anyone who may not be able to hold a sitting-up position, or to go at the same speed as yourself or to produce a swallow, sigh or yawn to order. Lastly, you gave a very helpful recap summary to remind us of what we'd just done and why, along with gentle suggestions for how to proceed. I will be following now.

I have IBS and have very very bad gas. I am bullied, ostracized, and have been physically assaulted because of my IBS. I live in a society that is shallow and judgmental. Many are ignorant about IBS. My co-workers and managers want me gone. I noticed that when I'm with family, my symptoms are less. That's because they understand and accept me for the way I am. That's when I realized that stress and anxiety really does have a big impact on my IBS. I've gotten so used to it that I didn't even realize I was anxious and stressed. Your calm non-judgmental voice and this small exercise made me feel relaxed. It really calmed be down and felt it in my gut.

@Creatural Shade the more we practice an exercise that engages our "safe and connected" part of our nervous system, the stronger it becomes. So lots of practice is great and many people do it several times daily. You may notice a plateau of effect if you're continuously in the calm state as opposed to doing this exercise when anxious, for example, then switching to the calming system.

And then there's helpful souls like you on the internet, Thank you again so much 🌻

Awe, thank you so much for your kind words, and hope it helps your clients too. Haha yes the damp armpit, agree with you, therapeutic and I laugh at it as well. When I was watching this video for the first time after recording and saw it, I was horrified at first and then couldn't help but laugh 😆

Day 1. I just completed this exercise and also watch another video you’ve made on the vagus nerve exercise. I believe I saw this video for the 1st time and subscribe, yesterday? I am deciding to aim to do this once a day/night. I need to change my life. And this seems to be a perfect beginning. Of course other things are needed. But this is a new healthy habit I need to add. ✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾

The first time I tried this sitting, my hands started buzzing with what felt like electricity, it was freaky. I moved to another place and it happened again. I just watched the video again and I was pulling too hard on my neck, looking up and to the side and straining. Going to try following instructions more closely and try it lying down. Thanks!

Hi Kyle, I had an interesting experience doing this exercise. When I looked to the right I started to feel calmer, and a sigh came easily after 30 seconds. When I looked to the left, my eyes immediately teared up. When testing afterwards for mobility in my neck, there wasn't much of a difference for me. But I felt like the tears released something, because I feel calmer now. It wasn't hard crying, just a few tears that dropped. Has this happened for anyone else, or is it just me? 😀

This is not an uncommon experience. When our bodies are used to being in fight/flight mode or constantly in high stress environments, bringing our body into a state of calm can bring a mix of emotions. Thank you for sharing 😊

What means with “your body swallows sighs or yawns”? English is not my native language and when I translate word to word it doesn’t make sense. Help 😅
@CalmwithKyle
@CalmwithKyle Жыл бұрын
Oh, I meant at first, let your body either sigh, swallow or yawn when doing the right side. Then on the left side, let your body yawn, sigh or swallow naturally. Let me know if this translation makes sense when you translate it.

good yoga like exercise ..being dancer my neck mobility’s excellent but .. humans are bioelectric beings ..3 yrs of 24/7 pulsed microwave radiation to brain 🧠 ☢️ by energy telecom monopoly capacitor erected 3yrs ago next2 my home destroys regenerative sleep .. disrupts calcium channel, erodes nervous system & puts cells in chaos.. yet people dumbed down & never question this unseen electromagnetic harm ..neither do MD’s yet profit off the documented but hidden 🤬harm 🧬☢️
